Jeevan Aanand Sanstha (JAS) was set up in 2013, with the sole objective of catering to the destitute and homeless. Mr. Sandip Parab has been drawn toward helping the needy since his childhood. He moved to Mumbai when he was 24 and for the better part of the first decade worked with various social organizations serving women, HIV-infected, children, drug addicts, etc; but noticed that there were not many people or organizations helping the destitute senior citizens. He was moved to action, seeing these needy people on the streets; with no food, shelter, or healthcare. He started JAS, to serve as a bridge for the deserving needy. His vision, ‘Every forsaken person on the street of age 18 years and above lives a respectful life’ has led him to serve and help hundreds of people who have no one else.In this journey, he has observed so many senior citizens in rural and urban areas; who have children but still struggle for their day-to-day existence. The children are either not in the same city or are not in a position to care for their parents. He wants to be able to cater to these senior citizens, providing a place of residence that they can call ‘Home’, eliminating the sense of abandonment and instilling a sense of belonging in its place. As a country, and as individuals we have a moral and ethical obligation to ensure that these people are well looked after and cared for. And the effects of hunger, malnutrition, and food insecurity range from underdeveloped cognitive abilities to reduced school attendance. At Annamrita, we work directly with the Government of India to blend excellence into the mid-day meal scheme with a variety of wholesome foods and dishes. We believe that beyond just being fed, it is imperative that children get piping hot, nutritious meals every day. Through better nutrition, children can concentrate better while studying. Social Activities Integration-SAI is constantly working for Upliftment and making bright future of the deprived, marginalized and underprivileged children of Sex Workers for nation building activities.The children of Sex Workers residing in the Red Light Areas like Kamathipura &amp; Falkland, where the profession of prostitution of their mothers  is highly vulnerable of life threatening due to dreaded diseases and possibility of physical assault because persons from all categories and every walks of life are constantly visiting for the said activity and some of them are perverts. Hence this situational causing embarrassment and adverse impact on the minds of  the children and defraying from going to school. The atmosphere in their locality is very pathetic and not encouraging for pursuing the education. We therefore wish to come forward for providing the opportunity of the education to these children for their safety from the offence of sex-abuse and sexual exploitation by the male domination and to prevent the girls children from entering in to the activity of prostitution &amp; boys in to becoming pimps like their ill- fated mothers.Hence there is need of “APANI DUNIYA” away from brothel atmosphere. Morning children are attending public schools, Afternoon they attend Study Club in SAI’ s office at Byculla, Mumbai &amp; in the evening the return to them at 6 p.m. At that time they do not have space to seat &amp; study in their homes i.e. brothels &amp; they find it extremely difficult to sleep at night because of the continues prostitution of their mothers. Their living place is very small consisting of one bed having size of 3 *6 Feet. On the top surface of the bed the mother is carrying on prostitution activity and under the bed the child/ children are sleeping, there is no place for the children for the study peacefully and concentrate on it. Moreover, the customers visiting brothels are rude, aggressive, drunk &amp; unmannerly behaving inhumanly with the sex workers using slang words sometimes quarreling &amp; beating. Due to these children cannot sleep, focus on their studies &amp; seeing atrocities to their mothers by customers their behavior become uncommon, wild &amp; resulting in to irritating responding to others. This impact is very bad on the tender mind of the children. Hence to protect the wellbeing of the children &amp; build up bright future of the children it is also absolutely necessary to shift them to SAI’s 11.5 Acres own land and establish “APANI DUNIYA- OUR UNIVERSE” A proposed Shelter Project at Kuhe, Taluka –Bhiwandi, District- Thane.

Childhood cancer is mostly curable across the world. But in India, with up to 40% of children with cancer being malnourished at diagnosis, survival is a huge problem. We're on a mission to change that through our FoodHeals program. We give children undergoing cancer therapy at over 40 government and charity hospitals access to trained clinical paediatric nutritionists, expert dietary counsels, supplements, in-meals, hot meals, monthly ration baskets and caregiver support. Good food helps the medicine work!Besides the love and affection of our patients, their families, and our supporters, we’ve won some awards along the way too. This includes the National Award for Child Welfare in 2015-16 from the Hon’ble President of India and the Special Jury Mention at the Outlook Poshan Awards in 2019.

Nargis Dutt Foundation is a registered, charitable organization working passionately in the areas of Health &amp; Education. It was first set up in 1981 in New York by Shri Sunil Dutt and the Indian Community in memory of Smt Nargis Dutt.  Over these 42 years, the impact of the foundation has been immeasurable touching the lives of millions of individuals through equipping 100’s of rural hospitals PAN INDIA with medical diagnostic equipment as well as mobile vans, supporting treatment of thousands of cancer patients annually, providing scholarships for meritorious and deserving students and holistic development of rural schools in India. Human Trafficking (HT) is the 2nd largest illegal trade in the world and the fastest-growing crime. While Trafficking in Persons (TIP) is a most heinous crime, it is also a multi-billion dollar business (estimated 32 billion USD). The stories are too gory, the emotions too painful and the violence inhuman. HT continues to thrive as the profits are high and risks are low.Purnata exists to address root causes and bring systemic change through a comprehensive prevention strategy. Trafficking in essence is a lucrative business but more a business that has criminal effects on the victims of trafficking. Any business is about demand and supply. Usually, the destination is where the demand is - most often our cities with booming economies. The source is where the supply is - mostly the backward, vulnerable pockets of our country where the gap between the rich and the poor is glaring in the face. Between the source and destination are the transit routes where abuse also occurs. Migration plays a key role in all this.Our perceived outcome through all that we do is to:1. Decrease the vulnerability of potential victims of HT in source areas2. Increase the risk to traffickers along trafficking routes.3. Decrease the demand for trafficked goods/services at DestinationPresently, in Mumbai, We run outreach programs through our Centre in the Red light areas of Sonapur, Bhandup &amp; Ghatkopar in Mumbai, where we run Day Care Centre for children and a Drop-In Centre for women of the red light areas, most of them victims of Human Trafficking. At various destination points across Mumbai, we work closely with victims. Our team visits Red light areas as Decoy customers and interacts with other customers to collect &amp; analyze their profiles to identify intervention points to reduce demand.Our Prevention strategy aims to reduce the vulnerability of potential victims of Human Trafficking in Source areas (currently in West Bengal and surrounding states), increase the risk to traffickers in transit routes, and decrease the demand for goods and services at destinations. Our Rescue efforts are mainly preventive, rescuing children in Transit before they get sold through surveillance at railway stations &amp; other nodal points. We also respond to clear rescue referrals from the Govt authorities or other civil society organizations.  As part of our Rehabilitation and reintegration strategy, we run a Rehab Home and training Center in Mumbai, that offers a 6-9 month adult literacy program apart from imparting life skills and livelihood training, preparing trainees to integrate into mainstream society by placing them in viable jobsSince February 2018, PURNATA has been formally appointed as a consultant and mandated by the “ Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation” in partnership with the Metro 3 consortium “ Maple General Consortium” to create awareness of HIV / AIDS and general health issues among all laborers working on the underground Metro 3 line which runs from Seepz in Andheri to Colaba in South Mumbai.Our Research in the first year pointed us to West Bengal and particularly North 24 Parganas as the major source area from where most women and minors are being brought to Mumbai. PURNATA has been focussing on reducing the supply of women and minors in this district. We are in the process of setting up a Prevention Hub in Barasat &amp; Bashihat, which will include a Training Center and, Rehab Home apart from implementing a Prevention strategy that facilitates the setting up of several ACT (vigilant) groups to help prevent the outflow of women and children trafficked to bigger cities.Critical to Purnata’s work are our Prevention and Rescue efforts alongside the concerned state and law enforcement agencies covering source, transit, and destination to create a higher risk for traffickers in transit routes to ensure safe and regulated migration.In the last 7 years, PURNATA has been able to assist 200 Vulnerable Individuals /Minors from falling prey to traffickers apart from rescuing over 60 victims of Trafficking, rehabilitating 35 survivors into mainstream society, helping arrange and witnessing 2 survivors get married, rescued, and arranged safe housing for 40 children at risk of being trafficked and brought awareness &amp; sensitization on Human Trafficking to over 100,000 people. During Covid &amp; the pandemic situation in 2020 &amp; 2021, Purnata, through our network of volunteers &amp; community groups was able to provide Care Packets ( consisting of a Dry ration &amp; hygiene essentials, sufficient to sustain a family of 4 - 6 members for 4 weeks ) to more than 5000 vulnerable families consisting of commercial sex workers, rag pickers, rickshaw pullers, HIV Patients, daily wage earners &amp; migrant workers, translating to over 15,00,000 nutritious meals in Mumbai, Chikli, Kolkata &amp; North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. Immediately after the completion of the Food Distribution, post June 2020, Purnata in Mumbai, along with its Medical partner has been organizing Medical camps once a month in both the Sonapur Red Light Area &amp; Ghatkopar Red Light Area, where women, children, and their immediate families are tested &amp; advised on further medical provisions. Purnata has facilitated &amp; ensured that more than 100 women in the Sonapur red light area are enrolled for a monthly stipend from the State Government. To ensure that the children get a nutritious meal every day, Purnata has Partnered with the Food Delivery App “Zomato“ to provide one nutritious meal to over 100 children each in the Sonapur &amp; Ghatkopar Red Light Area daily along with a protein supplement eggs / Fruit. In partnership with Global Fund for Children, Purnata was able to initiate a Home Based Care program among communities in North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, where our trained 10-member community volunteer teams reached out to local families in every community, equipping them as 1st respondents to the second &amp; third wave of the Pandemic. We stocked adequate medical provisions in every community to respond to any medical emergency. In Mumbai, in partnership with the local city Administration, Purnata facilitated a vaccination drive where 198 women from the Sonapur Red Light in Bhandup were inoculated with their 1st dose &amp; 140 with the 2nd dose of the covishield vaccine at a special vaccination camp organized by the city administration at our Sonapur center. Purnata was also selected by the Municipal Administration to facilitate a vaccination drive for the Transgender community living in the Eastern Suburbs of Mumbai.
