People of Aurangabad District is lacking Eye Care facilities in their geographical area to getting door step services in eye care facilities. Backlog of cataract patients are huge due to lack of enough eye care service provider. District Sadar Hospital do in small no of eye surgery. Only DORD Hospital provide eye care facilities including OPD and IPD including cataract surgeries in Aurangabad district. As such, we did not fill the gap as per demand increasing every year.    		 
 DORD Hospital performed more than 5,000 cataract surgeries in the last financial year. Every year, we do approx. 7,000+ eye surgeries. More than 80% cataract surgeries do FREE of cost to poor patients. 50 Bedded eye hospital serving more than 4 districts in south Bihar. Our audio fitted mike on Advertisement vehicle go into field and distribute printed handbills with adequate information about venue of screening camp and date. Next day, our optometrist and field staffs select cataract patients and bring them in base hospital in private vehicle. Our Ophthalmologist do surgery in OT and discharge them next day.  
 DORD is providing quality eye care services at door steps to the poor people of Aurangabad, Arwal, Jehanabad, Rohtas and Bhabhua districts. Now eye patients come at DORD Hospital and take OPD and IPD services. Some cases refer at higher centres in the city. Preventive eye care awareness generation and services have changed lives of the poor people wherein 3 lakhs OPD and more than 50,000 eye surgeries have give new lease of life to those patients who they don’t have enough money to go for their eye surgeries. Now, these above patients are happy with their life and working in daily life and supporting their family members and leading themselves quality life.
