Leprosy makes it difficult for people to simply go about their daily lives. They experience societal exclusion and stigma, but they also deserve the opportunity to live a life of respect and care. Pravesh has been a ray of hope for elderly people with leprosy, caring for them like a loving family member. We are happy to share the following key accomplishments from FY 2025-26:<ul><li>Dry ration Kits were distributed to 374 leprosy patients (338 Males and 36 Females).</li><li>Daily Cooked Meals for the Bedridden: Introduced a specialized feeding program for patients like Amjad Ali, who are over 80 and unable to feed themselves. Our team visited them daily, fed them by hand, and treated them with the love of a family member.</li><li>Specialized medical camps were organised, offering wound care, bandages, and medications.</li><li>Wheelchair assistance and unique MCR (Micro Cellular Rubber) footwear were given to leprosy patients.</li><li>Winter survival kits were distributed, which included thick blankets, heating supplies, and essential personal hygiene items.</li><li>Community awareness sessions were held to combat the social stigma surrounding the disease.</li></ul>Donate now! What choice do the unfortunate souls afflicted with leprosy have over their condition? None at all. Yet they suffer tremendously and struggle to survive, let alone thrive. That's where Dev Bhoomi comes in. With your support, we have achieved some remarkable feats in the period April '25 - September '25:<ul><li>5,000 freshly cooked meals distributed to leprosy patients and their families across Uttarkashi, Tehri, Chamoli, and Dehradun districts</li><li>12,000 dry ration kits provided to leprosy-affected households ensuring food security for over 500 families</li><li>6 medical health camps organized offering free check-ups, medicines, and wound care support to more than 800 patients</li><li>800 hygiene &amp; dignity kits distributed including soap, sanitizer, antiseptic, cotton, and clean clothing</li><li>20 leprosy survivors supported with small livelihood initiatives such as tailoring, grocery setup, and vegetable vending</li><li>10 awareness and anti-stigma sessions conducted in local communities and schools reaching 2,000+ people</li><li>50 patients received direct counseling and emotional support to help them cope with social rejection and depression</li></ul>But this is only the beginning.
