Many visually impaired only dream of operating computers, which is not possible without the appropriate software installed and trainers who are specialised in teaching computers to visually impaired. At a time, when Digital India is the vision of India to progress, there are 10 million visually impaired people in India who are deprived of accessing this necessity. Normal IT Labs/Coaching Centre's are unable to provide blinds a specialised faculty and devices. They are not usually encouraged to discover their passion like singing, dancing etc. 
 The students at our centre are trained to operate the system using a KEYBOARD with the help of special software like JAWS (Job Access with Speech - to read electronic texts on screen), KURZWEIL (for reading printed text), MAGIC (to magnify the text to help a person who is partially blind to read). This will enable them to lead a normal life and fill their lives with knowledge which they had always been deprived of. We also provide vocational training for women to help them pursue a career as a call centre operator, reception, I&R specialist, which requires computer knowledge. We have been organizing sports and cultural activities for the kids to exhibit their hidden talent. Now we plan to hire choreographers and trainers to hone their skills. 
 We aim at taking this concept forward to remotest part of our country. This will ensure that technology is not a stumbling block in their progress. Rather it is a source of adding meaning to their lives. We have started this project since 2011 benefiting more than 15,000 beneficiaries which include both direct and indirect beneficiaries. In a world of ever evolving technology, you might wonder how people with visual impairments can take advantage of the latest computer technology. The visually impaired, like many people with disabilities, have been using computers for decades with the help of software and hardware that have continued to improve over the years.Divya Jyothi Trust Computer Training Center provides tutorial-training services to visually impaired students. On completion of the training, students will be able to use common computer-processing applications and will be able to read electronic text on screen (with the use of special software), download information from the Internet for reading or printing,browse online newspapers, do online research and continuously upgrade their skills. The training is offered free of cost by the Trust. Our goal is to work towards creating IT awareness and providing knowledge and specialized skills to empower our students in order to make them self-sufficient and independent. Divya Jyothi’s mission is to assist visually impaired individuals and enable them to lead independent and dignified lives through empowerment, Training, Counselling, and Communication &amp; Technology.The Centre currently functioning with manually operated Braillers, printing books covering various areas of interest in Braille on a small scale, However, as this is very time-consuming and slow, Divya Jyothi would like to procure advanced Braille printers to produce books on a larger scale hence we would like to seek your assistance to implement this.We would like to establish a supply of Braille books to all over India on a demand basis. We receive requests for the Braille books all over India2. Our in-house, professional transcriptionist converts the soft copies document to Braille Ready Format (.brf).3. We perform a Quality Assurance check to ensure your document is accurate.4. The document will be produced in-house on of our high-speed braille embossers.5. Divya Jyothi’s project goal is to assist visually impaired individuals and enable them to lead Independent and Dignified lives and Support through education, Assist employment, , Technology Training, Counselling and Communication &amp; Technology. During this current year 40 visually challenged students are registered and getting benefits of our activities. We submit this request you to support 30 visually impaired trainees remaining will be arranged through our other sources.The beneficiaries are visually impaired students who are aspiring to continue their education and training. Divya Jyothi Charitable Trust started in 2010 in Mysore, Karnataka to fight. the social and economic inequality of blind people. We believe in celebrating the achievements of blind people. We see blindness not as a handicap, but as a challenge to be overcome. We provide means for the blind to get educated and develop skills necessary to find employment. We work to establish positive and productive roles for blind people in the workplace and to educate the public about our trust.
