 We function as a lending library of oxygen concentrators that we deliver DIRECTLY to individuals suffering from Covid-19 and cannot find a hospital bed. Once the resources are no longer needed by the patient, they are picked up and instantly sanitised and readied for the next individual.  We are distributing oxygen equipment to medical facilities including field hospitals springing up to cater to the overwhelming number of people in need of oxygen assisted hospital beds. With 330,000 thousand new cases each day and with over 2000 deaths the situation is very grim. A fully loaded mobile ICU with Oxygen and a ventilator will provide respite to patients stranded without beds. The overwhelming situation needs you. 
 Aarogya Seva: Global Health Volunteer Alliance, founded by Dr. Daya is a not-for-profit, humanitarian organization aiming to provide Health for All by engaging stakeholders to contribute to making health and healthcare services affordable and accessible with flexibility and shared responsibility. I am sure you are following the news in India. We are hitting new highs everyday crossing the 300,000 mark. Bangalore, my city, tops the list with over 10,000 new cases and more than 2000 deaths. A lot of these deaths are because people have no beds, no access to oxygen, no ICU and ventilators. It breaks my heart to say that people are literally gasping for oxygen and begging for air. The governments, hospitals, non-profits are all doing their best but we need to come together to provide all the support. We are mobilizng 50 emergency covid beds in partnership with TrueLife Mahabodhi Hospital and 10 mobile Intensive Care Units. Each Mobile ICU set up will have the following:1. Mobile Van2. Oxy log Ve 300 Ventilator3. C type Oxygen Cylinder with flow system4. Suction device5. ECG6. Basic Instrumentation7. UV Sterilization device8. Echo optional9. Defibrillator10. Bed11. FabricationWe are also looking at setting up oxygen beds in hospitals in a 100 km radius of Bangalore to cope and prepare as the wave is expected to reach outside Bangalore soon. I am working closely with the government and several other large hospitals here in setting up mobile ICU's, Oxygen generators, concentrators, new make shift hospital set ups. We also have a strong network of medical and non medical volunteers on the ground.<ol><li>Funding needs:</li></ol>           a. Immediate Funding for 200 O2 Concentrators (Shipping, stocks, transport    and distribution covered)           b. 10 Mobile Medical Transit ICU's (Equipment only - Vehicle, man power, Ops cost covered).           c. Quality healthcare access is still a privilege for rural India, which makes up about two-thirds of our population. Only 13% of the people in rural India have access to a primary health centre, 33% to a sub-center and 9.6% to a hospital. Various communities in the interiors of India remain fraught with health inequalities and are disproportionately vulnerable in conditions such as the coronavirus pandemic. This, in turn, increases the burden of disease on the community and adversely impacts livelihoods dependent largely on physical labor intensive activities, such as farming.AarogyaSeva’s Health for India Fellows serve small village communities across - Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Assam and Odisha - where such issues continue to persist. Healthcare systems in these communities are usually only rooted in traditional knowledge or superstition.For people who want to rely on modern medicine, they have to travel punishing distances to the nearest cities by when it is too late, especially in cases of chronic illnesses, complicated deliveries and dire injuries. Morbidity and mortality continue to remain high even for diseases where effective treatment exists owing to inaccessibility and impaired last mile delivery of care. Weak healthcare structures coupled with fractured transportation systems have the potential of crippling these communities with an unpresented burden of disease, especially when confronted with the likes of the Covid-19 pandemic. 
 Health for India (HFI) is a one-year primary care fellowship program that aims to confront health inequities in vulnerable populations and underserved communities through volunteerism to create an inclusive, sustainable, and de-commodified health ecosystem.HFI handpicks a diverse network of committed and passionate primary care providers and health leaders who will form the core of this community-centric ecosystem, this is especially vital in the post Covid-19 world. The fellows will work towards improving access to health and healthcare in the community they are placed in and engage with all stakeholders to strengthen the ecosystem they are working to create. The presence of an HFI fellow is vital for the communities that we serve in the interiors of India where access to sustained clinical care remains a great challenge. 
 We aim to impact 6000+ households within a span of 1 year by facilitating:Access to Free Quality Healthcare: Our services are decided based on a baseline assessment of the health needs of each region and are provided by adopting best practices for the population being served. Each location will have a well-equipped OneHealth Centre that will function with - (i) a qualified doctor (fellow), a nurse, a health worker and (ii) primary care equipment &amp; medicines. The centre will provide quality primary care and basic obstetric services (OPD and observational IPD) and serve as the first point of contact for evaluation, emergency management and facilitated referral of medical/surgical emergencies. A community health worker program that is culture informed and integrative is an essential limb of the OneHealth Centre Model. Through this, we aim to engage community members to ensure that decisions are participatory and informed, health seeking behavior and self reliance through health education is promoted and traditional healthcare knowledge is respected and incorporated in this holistic model of care. Community Health Development: The HFI fellow and his/her team are going to directly work on health system strengthening, stakeholder engagement - from the children of the community to the elderly and exploring sustainable health delivery models. All of which have been found to be integral in community development as a whole. Allowing for holistic development of school going children through health screenings and health education modules, better care for the elderly, menstruators and pregnant women.Our impact is multi-fold, an HFI fellow can change not only the outlook of the community about healthcare, but the community itself for the better.

COVID-19 Sanitary Napkin Relief

AarogyaSeva: Global Health Volunteer Alliance is a not-for-profit, transnational, humanitarian, micro-volunteering platform aiming to provide access to quality healthcare services to undeserved, communities in need through a model of flexibility, shared responsibility and a spirit of service. Our ongoing work in Manipur is another step in that direction.Nestled in the hills amidst rocky terrain and dirt roads, in an area with a long history of conflict and tribal clashes lies the village of Ijeirong in Manipur. A 'Friendship' school and hostel run by a sister organization is today, providing quality education and life skills to over 400 students locally. However, access to quality primary healthcare facilities continue to remain limited and sporadic at best and difficult geographies compound this problem.  
 In a gesture of good faith and as a testimony to the immense need for quality healthcare that exists, the village has generously donated a plot of land for construction of a community clinic in the region. Owing to its central location, this clinic would be able to provide free primary care and obstetric services to Ijeirong and about 12 surrounding villages in the vicinity. A mobile health unit cum ambulance would further increase accessibility.As construction for the clinic is going on, a doctor from AarogyaSeva and a local nurse have already started health operations in the field with a temporary clinic space in a community member's home. A local community leader and a space designer from Pondicherry are onsite overseeing the construction process and adding expert inputs to create a model structure rooted in local architecture and sustainability. The completion of the health center will enable us to expand our reach and scope of services in the area multi fold. To this effect, there is a lot that needs to be done at the earliest.The estimated cost of construction and equipping the center is about INR 50 lakhs and every contribution, big or small will go a long way in helping us achieve this goal. It is our collective responsibility to ensure that the trust of the village and the immense need that exists does not go unheard. We envision the clinic to be a community hub for healthcare, health education and healing through comprehensive healthcare delivery, micro-volunteer engagement and community participation. 
 The AarogyaSeva 'OneHealth' Center in Ijeirong will be able to provide quality healthcare services to the residents of Ijeirong and 12 surrounding remote villages in the hills of Manipur. For a community that has borne the burden of seeing precious lives lost and faced innumerable challenges to access healthcare services, this center is a step towards bridging the gap that has existed for decades in this region.

Poor health in childhood can have vast ramifications throughout the life of the child and protecting the health and growth of children is one of society's primary responsibilities. Growing scientific evidence demonstrates that disparities in health have their origins in early childhood and, if not addressed, are compounded over the life course. There are several marginalized populations with unequal access to quality healthcare at a school-going age and it is up to each of us to do what we can in our capacity to help bridge this gap through our commitment to children, specifically to their health. 
 The Doctor@School is AarogyaSeva’s flagship Comprehensive Child Health Program (CCHP) withstrong support from Pediatricians, Volunteers, Counsellors, Institutions and Governmentagencies is one step towards bridging this gap. The comprehensive nature of the program is innovative in that it brings year-round health and health education to children in often marginalized communities.The Doctor at School program will run from June to December 2019 in partnership with the Government of Karnataka and Teach for India in 36 Bangalore government schools. 
 The components of the program are designed to meet the healthcare needs of over 5000 children, provide comprehensive primary care (preventive and curative), appropriate specialist interventions (eye, dental, ENT, mental health, nutrition), referral and, tertiary care support where needed in addition to ongoing health education and awareness programs and active community engagement and participation.
