The region identified for the proposed intervention encompasses the districts in the southern part of Haryana state and north-east part of Rajasthan in India. The region falls under the National Capital Region (NCR) and forms a part of the Aravalli hills ecosystem and both region falls under the boundary periphery of each state.                            The continuous deforestation has resulted in extensive soil erosion, loss of topsoil, silting up of river channels and reservoirs, reduced land fertility and lowering of the groundwater table. The entire Aravalli Range has become ecologically sensitive and critically fragile thanks to the undue development works (mushrooming of Real Estate business, Industrial zone etc). The situation is exacerbated with illegal mining and reduced forestland and encroachment of existing commons.The region has shown a sustained decline in rainfall, for example in Mahendragarh district, the average annual rainfall has gone from 696.5 mm in 1983 to 368.0 mm in 2017. Also, as per the vulnerability atlas published by the Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture, the region is one of the most vulnerable areas as far as Climate Change is concerned. The ground-water too has been constantly depleting in the district, with the rate of depletion being as high as 2m/year over the 2004-2014 period in some of the regions. 
 The project is focused on tackling the adverse impacts of climate change by empowering local physical systems; hence the vision is to establish a snowball impact of knowledge dissemination and awareness generation among the communities to develop resilience against the imposed hazards. The program will cover:<ol><li>Finalization of villages - Villages will be identified based on the current scenario and vulnerability associated with climate change and its adverse impacts.</li><li>Selection of village-level coordinators: 2 eligible and motivated Coordinators will be screened and enrolled in the program based on their intent and interest.</li><li>Conducting TOT: TOT for Coordinators on climate-smart and sustainable agricultural practices which will be a mix of theory and practice to equip them with the desired level of knowledge.</li><li>Awareness generation and capacity building: Training of farmers on best practices related to climate and sustainable agriculture by forming groups of farmers (training with each group covering a total of 400 farmers covering 35-40 batches).</li><li>Plantation drives: Plantation drives to promote green cover and horticulture in the area.</li><li>Ensuring the adoption: Adoption of above-shared practices by farmers via one-to-one household visits and mentoring on best practices on climate resilient farm practices.</li></ol> 
 Climate change is increasing the frequency and intensity of the extreme weather and climate events that are affecting all countries. However, because of their geographical location, reliance on climate-sensitive natural resources and development gaps in general, developing countries, and low-income countries in particular, are at the greatest risk of climate hazards. Left unattended, climate hazards are likely to increase poverty, worsen inequalities, exacerbate food insecurity and cause health problems, among other hardships, which may reverse years of development progress in some countries. The intervention will cover 400 farmers and the following impact is anticipated from the program activities 1.   Empowered Coordinators (Climate resource person) who will act as a catalyst of change in their respective villages and help others with the adoption of best practices related to climate-smart and sustainable agriculture.2.   Increased awareness and knowledge on climate resilience, agroforestry and sustainable agriculture within the community that will lead to decreased number of climate prone hazards.3.   Increase in green cover within the villages by horticulture promotion which will also result in increased livelihood for the villagers.

In Tijara block of Alwar district of Rajasthan, India around 90 % people depend on farming for their livelihood. They generally grow field crop and use flood irrigation methods. Thus, they end up using excessive ground water resources. Recharging the ground water is a big problem and as a result ground water is depleting very fast. 
 END POVERTY is promoting horticulture farming under the brand name  "Plant a Tree for Life"  to improve the income of small farmers in a sustainable manner. Program is implemented in Tijara block of Alwar district of Rajasthan, India as horticulture farming is the best solution towards sustainable farming as it consumes less water, gives more returns, needs less labour, improve the local environment and family nutrition. To promote sustainability and reduce water consumption in farming, EP is helping farmers to diversify from field crops to horticulture crops. Plant a tree for Life aims to improve the livelihood and the capacities of vulnerable rural communities in Tijara block of Rajasthan in a sustainable manner by promoting horticulture farming.Key Focus Thematic Areas :• Creating Sustainable Livelihood• Improving environment To further support Tijara farmers that grow fruit and vegetables in sales and marketing of their produce at competitive prices, End Poverty has formed a Fruits and Vegetable Producer Company "Dinker Agriculture Producer Company Limited" to support small and marginal farmers in Tijara this year with a purpose to enhance farm productivity, efficient value chain development and providing market linkage thus eliminating the petty traders who often exploit the farmers.End Poverty wants to raise funds for PLANT A TREE FOR LIFE PROJECT ( PTFL ) as horticulture farming gives higher returns, need less water &amp; labour and improves environment &amp; nutrition in family. 
 End Poverty has planted around 40305 fruit tress covering 749 farmers from 70 villages. Fruit trees include lemon, guava, sweet lime, kinoo, goose berry, pomegranate, papaya, amla, ber and other citrus fruits.End Poverty wants to raise funds for planting 5000 fruit trees/ saplings in a period of 1 year ( 1st January -31st Dec2020) .Cost per plant is Rs 100 which includes cost of sapling, basal treatment, supervision , farmers training etc.

Presently the majority of people are engaged in traditional farming, mainly field crops. The income from the traditional crops is limited. Farmers also use flood irrigation methods resulting in rampant withdrawal of groundwater for agriculture as most of the area proposed does not have canals. As a result, the underground water resources are fast depleting with very little efforts to recharge them. In last few years we have noticed farmers losing lots of money due to sudden change in monsoon setting and withdrawal time, change in temperature, humidity etc. This is happening more frequently in recent years. All of this calls for an urgent need to train and prepare farmers in understanding the impact of climate on the farming and prepare them accordingly so as to minimize its negative impact. 
 The overall objective of the project is to promote climate smart farming in order to lower the vulnerability of the beneficiaries to climate change impact. Following are the objectives of the project:1.      Promotion of soil nutrient smart practices: By practicing integrated nutrient management, organic farming, multi cropping etc. in agriculture.2.      Promotion of water smart practices: by recharging ground water level through creation of water harvesting structures.3.      Capacity building of the farmers: Capacity building of farmers by conducting continuous meetings, trainings etc.4.      To promote horticulture farming which consume less water, need less labour, give more returns and also improves environment.The project is intended to lower the vulnerability of the rural population by providing those means of adaptation to climate change impacts. The project will adopt activities which have already been recognized by Indian Council of Agricultural Research to be village level interventions towards climate resilient agriculture. Some of the activities proposed under the project are Community mobilization and selection of farmers,Training of farmers and capacity building, Exposure visit (modern farm, KVK, IARI, Agri Tech Fairs etc) to best practices, Supply of high-quality Saplings, Soil health card and Kisan Credit Card, Kisan Credit Card and develop Market Linkage . 
 The proposed project will cover 625 small and marginal farmers from 25 villages in Tijara block of Alwar district of Rajasthan with plantation of 10,000 fruit saplings .<ol><li>Provision of strategic climate change adaptation services through knowledge assimilation.This can be done by creating awareness and building capacity to deal with impact of climate change thus minimizing the negative impact of climate change on farming.</li><li>Implementation of climate adaptation interventions in agriculture by community institutions</li><li>Scaling and mainstreaming community-based climate adaptation component will enable support and build capacity for the implementation of climate adaptation by fellow villagers hence a snow balling impact can lead to horizontal scaling of the programme.</li><li>Farmers will have sustainable livelihood through farming as a result of adopting scientific climate resilient farming.</li></ol>

The financial crises imposed by the pandemic has pushed many children out of school. Among the most important challenges created by COVID-19 is how to adapt to a system of education built around physical schools. Families too are struggling to pay the fees of their children besides daily expenses. It is a huge setback and mental stress for many parents trying to support their children's basic needs and education. In ₹1,210 you can support a child with education and hygiene kit.END POVERTY, through this project, is providing School Books, Stationery, Health &amp; Hygiene Kit, Sports equipment and other learning materials to the school children living in Tijara Block of Alwar district, Rajasthan for this academic year. Your contribution to this project will mean continued support to 1 child with education and hygiene kit INR 1210. 
 Since 2010, End Poverty has already provided education to 2726 adolescent girls from 92 villages in Tijara Block of Alwar district of Rajasthan. Girls are able to read, do household calculations, help their parents at home in matters where reading, writing and numeracy are needed.We are doing our best to help children continue their studies in such a difficult time since Covid-19. This will help the children as well as their families to have a ray of hope in these tough times.Below initiatives taken in our project location Tijara Block of Alwar district of Rajasthan. a) School Books, Stationery and learning materials to 450 students of I to IV Class.b) 1850 Handmade masks in 5 Schools.Your contribution of Rs. 1210 per child would provide School Books, Stationery, Health &amp; Hygiene Kit, Sports equipment’s and other learning materials to 450 children covering 15 villages from classes I – VIII.Each kit will consist of a school bag, geometry box, notebooks, pencil box , pens, erasers, sharpeners, colors, learning materials, sports equipments( badminton racket , shuttle ,rope) and health and hygiene kit etc.“It's not how much we give but how much love we put into giving ” -- Mother Teresa 
 450 children will continue their education through the help of these kits. The families will be free from the burden of additional expenses of school stationery items and basic needs of children’s life. So that children can focus on their studies and dropout rates will also decrease.

Agriculture has a high degree of sensitivity to both short-term weather changes and long-term seasonal changes and productivity is impacted by changes in temperature, precipitation and carbon dioxide levels as well as infestation by pests, diseases and weeds. Economically, it has an impact in terms of profitability, prices, supply, demand and trade. In the long run, such impacts could disturb development processes and food security.In last few years we have also noticed that the farmers are losing a lot of money due to sudden changes in weather cycles like change in monsoon setting and withdrawal time, change in temperature, humidity etc. These weather cycles exacerbated by climate change results in crop failure, groundwater depletion, food insecurity and uncertain cash flow because farmers do not have another way of earning a living. All of this calls for an urgent need to train and prepare farmers in understanding the impact of climate on the farming and prepare hem accordingly so as to minimise its negative impact. 
 The overall objective of the project is to promote climate smart farming in order to lower the vulnerability of the beneficiaries to climate change impact.Following are the specific objectives of the project:<ol><li>Knowledge sharing: Farmers will be introduced to issues regarding climate resilient farming techniques along with knowledge of species/crops which can adapt to changing climate cycle and climate extremities. They will also be warned regarding any upcoming sudden change in cycles of climate to help them preparing in advance to tackle and minimise the losses.</li><li>Promotion of soil nutrient smart practices: By practicing integrated nutrient management, help farmers to test their soil and apply fertilizer / compost as pe the crop selected by farmers.</li><li>Promotion of water smart practices: Train farmers about water management, soil and water conservation and rainwater harvesting, recharging ground water etc.</li><li>Introduction of package of practices: We will roll out standard package of practices which farmers can adopt as immediate measure to tackle the adverse effects of climate change.</li><li>Capacity building of the farmers: Capacity building of farmers by conducting continuous meetings, trainings, workshops etc.</li><li>Integration of technology: to ensure that the efficiency of our efforts will be maximised, we will be introducing concepts like service on call and use of climate smart applications to help the community in best possible way. Awareness about water conservation and as result more and more people adopt less water consuming crops.3. Awareness and capacity to deal with impact of climate change thus minimizing the negative impact of climate change on farming4. Farmers will have sustainable livelihood through farming as a result of adopting scientific farming.5.Increased understanding of villagers regarding water resources management which will lead to collective action in terms of rain water harvesting, groundwater recharge, proper storage and its sustainable usage.6.Improve the green cover in the vicinity of the NCR and positively impact the quality of air.

There is an immediate requirement of providing literacy to more adolescent girls in the area as over 10,000 girls are still out of school and without literacy in Tijara Block of Alwar district. Through this fund raiser we propose to provide literacy to 300 out of school adolescent girls over the period of three years in Tijara Block of Alwar District who have had very little or no schooling and have no prospect of attending school if left unattended. 
 The Kishori Shiksha Project (KSP) is a flagship girls’ education program of EP under which literacy and grade 1 and 2 curriculum is taught to adolescent girls. Local women who have completed schooling till atleast grade 12 are selected and trained as teachers locally to enhance the acceptance of the teachers by the community. Holistic teaching learning material is provided to the classes. In addition to basic literacy and numeracy, the girls are provided motivational sewing lessons, library material appropriate to their skill and more, games equipment, health and environment lessons. Classes are held within the safety of a home within the community that is selected by the community themselves since they must agree to send their girls regularly for the lessons. 
 End Poverty has already provided education to over 1686 adolescent girls from 32 villages in Tijara Block since 2010 to date. 125 girls are already registered for this year. Girls are able to read, do household calculations, help their parents at home in matters where reading, writing and numeracy are needed.In addition, girls who have been taught for one year in the KSP are waiting to be registered in the National Open School's Open Basic Education program and appear for class 5 exam. Based on our work in the area, End Poverty has been inducted as member of the Grievance Redressal Commitee of the Tijara Block Education Office and the Girl Child Education Committee of the District Education Department of Alwar District. End Poverty’s work has also been recognized by District Administrator, Alwar and has been given certificate of appreciation for our contributions towards promoting girls education in the Alwar district.

Across India an estimated 30% of food is lost or wasted, while the country also has the world’s highest number of people living in hunger. This loss greatly affects the revenues of farmers and increases the environmental degradation caused by agriculture. The impacts include land degradation, biodiversity loss, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, water use, and water pollution.Ultimately, to reduce food loss, strengthen food security, and improve rural livelihoods in the country, there is a need to aggregate the farm produce, close the logistical gap between farm and fork, and create cold storage spaces to ensure durability of the produce. A lack of a reliable cold chain and logistics is responsible for up to half of post-harvest food losses in the country.Similar problems are faced by a number of beneficiaries across End Poverty’s operational areas as well.<ul><li>Hasty sales due to unavailability of storage facilities</li><li>Low price of produce from the Mandis</li><li>High price fluctuations, resulting in high losses</li><li>Overwhelming transportation expenses</li><li>No means of ensuring high quality seeds and fertilizers</li></ul> 
 In order to help the farmers, overcome the aforementioned problems, End Poverty (EP), is promoting an FPO, Dinker Agriculture Producer Company Limited at Bhalesar Village, Tapukara, Alwar District, Rajasthan.The Tapukara fruit and vegetable cluster is an induced cluster started as EP’s livelihood program.EP is setting up cold storage facility here. But, non-availability of continuous and reliable electricity can obstruct cold storage operations significantly. So, EP would install a GEN-Set to address this issue.The specifications of the GEN-Set are as follows:82.5 KVA Three Phase Silent DG Set with all standard accessories - INR 8,00,000Automatic Panel for 1 electric meter - INR 1,00,000Total - INR 9,00,000

In last few years we have noticed farmers losing lots of money due to sudden change in monsoon setting and withdrawal time, change in temperature, humidity etc. This is happening more frequently in recent years. All of this calls for an urgent need to train and prepare farmers in understanding the impact of climate on the farming and prepare them accordingly so as to minimize its negative impact. 
 The overall objective of the project is to promote climate smart farming in order to lower the vulnerability of the beneficiaries to climate change impact. Following are the objectives of the project:1.      Promotion of soil nutrient smart practices: By practicing integrated nutrient management, organic farming, multi cropping etc. in agriculture.2.      Promotion of water smart practices: by recharging ground water level through creation of water harvesting structures.3.      Capacity building of the farmers: Capacity building of farmers by conducting continuous meetings, trainings etc.4.      To promote horticulture farming which consume less water, need less labour, give more returns and also improves environment.The project is intended to lower the vulnerability of the rural population by providing those means of adaptation to climate change impacts. The project will adopt activities which have already been recognized by Indian Council of Agricultural Research to be village level interventions towards climate resilient agriculture. Some of the activities proposed under the project are Community mobilization and selection of farmers,Training of farmers and capacity building, Exposure visit (modern farm, KVK, IARI, Agri Tech Fairs etc) to best practices, Supply of high-quality Saplings, Soil health card and Kisan Credit Card, Kisan Credit Card and develop Market Linkage . 
 The proposed project will cover 300 small and marginal farmers from 20 villages in Tijara block of Alwar district of Rajasthan with plantation of 4000 fruit saplings . <ol><li>Provision of strategic climate change adaptation services through knowledge assimilation.This can be done by creating awareness and building capacity to deal with impact of climate change thus minimizing the negative impact of climate change on farming.</li><li>Implementation of climate adaptation interventions in agriculture by community institutions</li><li>Scaling and mainstreaming community-based climate adaptation component will enable support and build capacity for the implementation of climate adaptation by fellow villagers hence a snow balling impact can lead to horizontal scaling of the programme.</li><li>Farmers will have sustainable livelihood through farming as a result of adopting scientific climate resilient farming.</li></ol>

Hunger & Homelessness

To mitigate the crisis among daily wages workers, migrants, labour and vulnerable population through distribution of dry ration and hygiene kits . We came forward to help the families who were badly affected. They went to work every day to earn some money to fullfill their stomach. Due to unexpected pandemic situation, people losing their jobs and having no means of livelihood , it has been difficult for them to run their families.Support us in fighting this pandemic and enabling the most vulnerable population in India to battle this too.Focus areas : Haryana (Rewari , Gurgaon ), Rajasthan( Jaipur and Alwar) , Madhya Pradesh and UP 
 The pandemic has adversely impacted the livelihoods of millions of people in India. Having lost their only source of income, daily wagers and other low-income groups are struggling to make means of living due to pandemic situation since last year.Donate and help them survive the pandemic. End Poverty is sourcing funds to distribute ration and hygiene kits to low-income groups .COVID Initiatives of End Poverty since March,2020 :- Distributed 100 dry rations kits and medical supplies in Rewari, Haryana- Distributed 1500 dry rations kits each in villages of Rewari( HR ) and Guna (MP)- Mask distribution and generated awareness through camps on COVID-19 good practices in the villages in Guna - Manufactured and distributed 1 lakh reusable, double static, single layer masks under the "GAON GAON Mask" Program. All these masks were distributed in villages of Rajasthan to the local police, healthcare workers, and bank staff.- Manufactured and distributed handmade masks in Alwar, Rajasthan - Distributed cooked Meals and dry ration to 5000 migrant laborers in the Badhshahpur Village Community Center, in association with the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram.- Distributes face shields to frontline workers in Gurugram in partnership  with IIT-Delhi . 
 Distribution of dry ration kits to low-income groups will help the people adversely affected by this cruel phase live and not let them die of hunger. End Poverty is aiming to distribute it to 3000 families ( Each family will cover upto 4-5 family members ) This year too, our contribution can save the hungry from starvation. Rs 1432 for a family will provide Dry Ration for 2 meals a day for a week to one family and a basic Hygiene KIT .
