We run a small school in one of India's remotest and most underserved districts. Located at Devidhar Village, near Dunda, District - Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, the school serves children from underprivileged families. At present, 85 children are enrolled in classes Play to VIII and the school has 10 teachers. Inspired by Sh. Jiddu Krishnamurthi’s philosophy is that learning must be a fun experience – the school reverberates with happiness – and is called Happy By Nature. We charge a very nominal fee and have survived largely on donations for the last 15 years. Even without fancy facilities, the young minds go about their routine with joy. Our only promotion happens through the word of mouth of happy children.We have been a very useful school in an area where no good options exist. Today, we are the first Internet-enabled school in the area. Equipped with virtual classrooms. we adopt a hybrid mode of teaching. A child-centric, activity-based pedagogy created by several passionate educators, is being employed to change lives, brick by brick - child by happy child.Indeed, we are one of India's Happiest, Remotest Schools!
