Established in 2014-15, the Skill Development Center, located near Juhu Cafe Arpan, provides vocational training in Vegetable Cutting, Baking, and Soft Skills to individuals aged 16 and above. At the heart of YCT's mission is their Skill Development Center, where 10-12 students per class are nurtured by two dedicated trainers and a special educator. The Vegetable Cutting program not only teaches students various cutting styles but also equips them with the skills to prepare fresh salads, which they supply to local businesses. After mastering this, students move on to the Baking program, where they learn the art of flour processing and modern baking techniques under the guidance of a skilled chef. The Soft Skills program, led by a special educator, focuses on making students independent and confident members of society. During our interactions with beneficiaries, it was evident that YCT's programs have a profound impact on their lives, fostering a sense of pride and determination to lead independent, dignified lives. Their kitchen, operational for a decade, exemplifies their mission by providing employment opportunities for beneficiaries who prepare vegetarian tiffin boxes for pre-order customers.
