Delhi is one of the most polluted cities in the world. With increasing development activities, a lot of trees have been chopped down to create new buildings, leading to further decrease in the tree cover in Delhi. The traffic in Delhi is also increasing day by day, leading to even more air pollution. Although a lot of different methods have been tried over the last 5-6 years to curb the air pollution in Delhi, the most effective solution to curb air pollution is to increase the tree cover of Delhi. 
 Till date, Give Me Trees has planted more than 74 lakh Neem trees across India in the last 44 years under its Neem Trees Campaign. Give Me Trees wants to plant 25,000 more Neem trees in Delhi. Although Give Me Trees plants more than 100+ tree species, Neem (scientific name : Azadirachta indica) is very effective in absorbing air pollutants and is an excellent tree species with tremendous medicinal and ecosystem benefits. All the funds we will receive will directly go into planting and maintaining Neem trees in Delhi. Give Me Trees will plant and maintain the planted saplings for the next 3 years, after which, the trees become self sufficient. Maintenance activities include watering, mulching, manuring, fencing, labour costs and replacement of saplings if necessary. Give Me Trees will employ full time staff to constantly monitor the health of the saplings and take full care of them. 
 This will lead to an increase in the number of Neem trees in Delhi, leading to decrease in air pollution. Neem also has tremendous medicinal benefits and is considered very beneficial for the whole ecosystem as well.

The location chosen to work on is in Aravalli ridge, which is an ancient mountain range in North Western India. It is fast degrading and has lost its green cover and top soil. Aranya Biodiversity park is an initiative to restore soil, biodiversity, bird habitat, water ponds and educate the stakeholders in environmental issues. 
 First phase is to create a green umbrella over SIX ACRES of land with plants. Native trees, shrubs and grasses will be planted to restore the forest community on this patch of land, which was once a thriving Aravalli forest. Due to urbanization this area has been left high and dry, By March 31, 2021 we will complete the plantation work along with development of the site with pathways, ponds, shelters and green clusters. maintenance, preservation, protection of the plants and the safety measures.

We have several tree plantation sites in Delhi NCR, where we have planted several lakhs of trees. So far, we have a total of 26 dogs at our plantation sites. Some of them were street dogs that we adopted. The others were dogs that were the victims of abuse, and whose parents had passed away. We keep all these dogs at our plantation sites where they feel at home, and have plenty of space to roam around and play. 
 The money will be utilized to feed,vaccinate, buy medical supplies for our dogs and puppies at our plantation sites. The funds will be used to take care of these dogs for 1 full year. Some dogs have given birth to puppies, who also stay at our tree plantation sites. 
 This will give keep the dogs and puppies healthy!
