Gramya Resource Centre for Women was formed in 1993 to promote women's rights to equality. Gramya's vision is to create a just society, which will provide political, social and economic opportunities for women, especially tribal and dalit women. In the context of rural livelihoods, Gramya works with Rythu Swarajya Vedika (RSV) as a common platform working for the well-being and rights of farming community, and for addressing the crisis of farmer suicides and assisting the victim families. RSV's efforts are helping thousands of distressed farmer families and also organizing farmers to advocate for better policies and better implementation of existing support systems. Gramya also supports RSV's efforts to help other marginalized sections of the society. We also work for women farmers' rights through Mahila Kisan Adhikar Manch (MAKAAM).
