“They insert a candle in the vagina, fingers are inserted (in the vagina) and tortured, and if children don’t relent even then, they put chilli powder so that children will say “yes” because of the burning of the skin… There are teeth marks on their bodies, and their vaginal parts are burnt. Dear All, Pravalikha had applied for deferral in 2021, due to lack of funds, which was approved by NYU Tandon school of Engineering and they allowed her to join her academic session in August 2022. While she was preparing to go for her higher studies in Aug '22, she got a medical emergency due to disk prolapse and arthritis. She has been undergoing medical treatment since then. Although her health is improving, the progress has been very slow. She has been advised by the Doctors to not travel anywhere for 2 - 3 years until her health is fully recovered. Due to her current health condition, Pravalika has decided to take a break from her dream to study abroad and pursue it later when she is healthy. Diversity especially gender diversity has created a buzz in corporate sector. However, the companies are challenged when it comes to getting a pool of qualified women to select from.
