India Foundation For Education Transformation is a registered not-for-profit educational organization formed with the core idea that the socio-economic transformation of deprived and marginalized children living in the remote-hilly areas of India is possible through education.We are a highly motivated and dedicated team with a shared experience of being from one of the deprived and marginalised communities in India. It is only through education we have managed to empower ourselves to what we are now-critically conscious and economically empowered. So, we know how pivotal and critical education to children in our remote geographies is. Whatever success we achieved today is all because of education and through IFET we would like to give back the empowering benefits of education to the Society.Our Core Program:Currently, we are working in Arunachal Pradesh and have partnered with the District Administration of Changlang to implement NIPUN Bharat’s aligned program “Foundational Literacy and Numeracy” with a strong focus on school transformation in 30 Government Primary schools in a mission mode in a phased manner over a period of three years from 2021-2022 to 2023-2024. As a part of year 1 plan, the program is being implemented in 30 schools with a plan to scale to 100 schools in the third year. To support the FLN Program, which is our core program, we also set up Community Libraries and help the government to improve school infrastructures.<img src="https://cfstatic.give.do/f5fab468-7c66-4950-9d59-67733a17d8fb.jpeg" width="518" style="display:block;margin:auto" />Vision:North East India has been a theater of conflicts over the years. Its richness, plurality and diversity of people and strong tribal identity affiliation has often contributed to tension among and between communities. We seek to use education to imbibe and foster friendship, tolerance, mutual coexistence among competing tribal communities. Which is why, our vision is to transform communities into peaceful, critically conscious socio-economically powered through education that believe in harmony and social coexistence.We are doing it by addressing and mitigating the core problem of deprivation and lack of world-class education in the remote and far-flung hilly areas of India. The After School program is specialized coaching for secondary and senior secondary students with an aim to help them pass their board exam and get into top colleges.
