His mother couldn't work as she had an infant to take care of. With the shock of the sudden death of her husband, she became ill. Baranitharan was forced to discontinue school to look after his siblings. Isha foundation counseled his mother to send him to school promising help for his education. With good education and nutritious food, he has developed into a bright and happy child. Today Baranitharan is in 2nd grade and has hopes of a better life. All a helpless child needs to secure his future is a little help from a generous donor. About The Program Isha Vidhya works for the economic and social empowerment of rural children in the villages across southern state of Tamil Nadu. The foundation is committed to raising the level of education and literacy in rural India and to help disadvantaged children realize their full potential. Through its schools, it offers a nurturing approach to education in villages. Isha Vidya promotes education among female children in the villages and the schools have seen an increased enrollment of girl children. There are 4000 students studying in 8 Isha Vidhya schools out of which 2,306 students are under scholarship. When you sponsor a child, the tuition fee, books. and educational supplies are covered. Even nominal fees are too much for families of these children. In the absence of support, these children would drop out of school.Donate to this program so a child doesn't have to drop out of school. Educate a poor rural child in need

Impact Bairavi's father is a daily wage labourer but due to ill-health can't work regularly. The house they live in has a leaky roof and unhygienic surroundings. Even one meal a day is a distant dream for them. Isha Vidya convinced the parents to admit her to the Isha school after promising scholarship. Through a medical camp conducted in the school, Bairavi was diagnosed as under-nourished and anemic. After regular intake of the nutritious and tasty mid-day meal with proteins, she started to gain strength. By the second medical camp, her weight was normal and she is no longer anemic. Unfortunately, a mid-day meal is the only good meal a poor child gets and this program helps a child with the basic right to a hot meal. They run 8 schools and cater to more than 3,488 students from nearby villages. Many of these children come from families where parents are daily wagers, who earn very meager incomes. Due to the absence of any vegetables, fruit or proteins, the nutritional content of their food is very poor. This severely impedes the physical and mental growth of the children. By providing at least one tasty and nutritious meal to these kids, two issues are addressed; the health of the children and incentivizing the parent to send their child to school. Impact Suman was a 7-year-old child without any dreams. Simple joys like going to school and making friends were alien to her. Her father had a damaged kidney and her mother was a daily wage worker. Their extreme poverty neither allowed them to send her to school and nor were they able to fulfill her small needs. “Education can transform the lives of entire community by education the girl child”   Child Name:-Vishakha                                 Mother Name;-Rajwala Father Name:-Ramjeevan                          Centre Name:- Patan Mewan Description;- Vishakha Kumari is resident of tribal community area of Patan Mewan, Alwar. Her father is a farmer and mother is daily wage earner, working under MGNREGA scheme. She is spending her childhood in an atmosphere where people are craving for food; all villagers were suffering with poverty. Mostly men (55%) of this village migrate for searching livelihood opportunity. Girl child education was considered a curse, improper language is used and respect for elders was non-existent.Initially, when she joined the learning centre (Patan Mewan), used to trouble the children, showed disrespect for teacher and girls. After 15 days of her enrolment she had left the learning centre too, felt her freedom has taken away. But teacher didn’t leave the hope, met her parents and brought her back to the centre.   Over time, supervision of teacher, responsive attention of Vishakha and good companionship of other girls has transformed her behavior and positive cultural changes. Now she got learn to respect others and importance of education. Her performance in class has also shown consistent improvement, she has good academic record, always obtain more than 60% marks in quarterly girls assessment. Her performance has also motivated her family to keep her education continue and to treat others with respect. Now she wants to become a doctor.

Success Story of Vishakha Kumari, Patan Mewan, Alwar, Rajathan

Ramgarh is one of the Block in the Alwar district, where mostly the Meo-Community lives. In these villages Girls' education is considered a curse, they are more focused on boys' education. People of these villages are socially and economically deprived, child marriage is also prevalent too, they see their daughter as a liability and son as assets. This project will not only provide a learning chance to girls but also provide a golden opportunity for the entire community to be empowered. Promoting the Girl Child Education project is the only way to transform the community as a whole because it developed human beings completely to help me create more impact and touch more lives, I need your support and contribution.
