“I saw a girl, barely 7 or 8, being pushed into flesh trade. Her cries for help still echo in my ears. There were men as old as 60 r*ping the innocent child. Information About Jidnyasa Organization Jidnyasa is an NGO founded in 2014 with the purpose of ''To Promote Safe and Healthy Childhood (Development) through comprehensive family and community initiatives''. We have been working for disadvantaged populations in the rural areas of the Kolhapur district through our programmes. Globally, 763 million people are living outside of their native place which imposes a huge effect on the education of their children (GMR, 2019). In India, despite making laudable efforts to promote opportunities for local employment, inter-state migration rates have doubled between 2001 and 2011 (World Economic Forum, 2017) hence affecting the education of millions of children. In India, seasonal migration comprises a chunk of the population moving from rural to urban and rural to rural areas for a duration of a minimum of four months annually In rural Western Maharashtra involves labourers moving between home and sugarcane fields, brick kilns, mines and stone quarries or at the construction sites they come with their children to the workplace. Issues like Most Children are not going to school. They are wandering here and there. They don’t have good access to water facilities, safe hygienic conditions, healthy food, Learning Environment. The objectives of the programme are to provide early childhood education programmes by establishing a learning centre, Balbhavan, a Mobile van, and nutritional support. The outcomes are expected to increase the interest in a learning activity and improve parents' participation Jidnyasa Organization is doing an intervention in three different set up in Kolhapur, Kagal block i.e <ol><li>In Sugarcane crop migrants community children s – SHAKHRASHALA</li><li>Construction labour children - Construction site.</li><li>Zilha parishad government school in Vandur village.</li></ol>It Is mentioned that the sugarcane industry season is ending now from this month's end. These seasonal migrant workers are coming from different areas of the country. From the month of October, till the season ended in March, they are in the field. Each family set up shelter, forming tents 'that will remain for months while harvesting continues. It is common to bring their entire family, including small children, young children and elders. Factory sets up a seasonal school for workers' children called Sakharshala. We have started our work with these children in the area of education and Health. The same with all three set up.
