Joint Endeavour for Emancipation Training & Action of Women (JEETA), a non-profit organization, commenced its journey in the year 1994 due to the inexorable efforts of a handful of young women with social work bent of mind and dedication to work for the underprivileged in the remote villages of Angul, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Sundargarh & Keonjhar Districts where the development is in the nascent stage. JEETA evolved specially to work on the issue of domestic violence. Gradually maturing, it has to be involved with a broad spectrum of developmental issues focusing on Women's Empowerment, Livelihood & Food Security, Protection and Conservation of Wildlife, Water, Local Governance, and Education & Child Rights.
