Less than 5% of India’s rural workforce is formally skilled. Moreover, most skills don’t match market demands. Last year alone, over 440 million rural Indians took themselves out of the formal economy because they did not have the adequate support and guidance to find relevant employment (CMIE, 2022). Given these constraints and more, it will take a person from the average low-income Indian family 7 generations to reach India’s mean income of INR 1,12,000 (WEF, 2020).  
 Mastery is one of the most foundational components of our intervention at the Karya Foundation. Our ultimate goal is to offer a wide-spread selection of programs focused on modern jobs and their required skills. This will be delivered through our platform - Karya Learn. Through Karya learn, we are building India’s first multi-lingual skilling platform. By conducting extensive market research, we intend to offer participants the opportunity to learn skills that are relevant for the jobs of the future! This year, we’re in the process of developing and piloting the Learn platform which will allow users to easily navigate courses, interactively gain skills and interact with other Karya participants. This year, we are focusing on content related to financial literacy, next year we will expand into entrepreneurship, 
 Through Karya Learn, we hope to offer rural Indians with 21st-century skilling opportunities that match jobs available in the market today. 2023 will be our first year of operations, we are on track to develop financial literacy knowledge for 25,000 low-income women!
