The extent of the struggles here was beyond my imagination. These villages had no connectivity to the outside world, no healthcare, no education, there was absolutely nothing”, says Bipin Dhane founder of the school. Bipin, who grew up in the small town of Satara in Maharashtra, faced countless financial hardships. I had no money to start the school. It was then that villagers came together to build bamboo huts. Each family donated bamboo, wood, and whatever little they could.
