For a mother who has spent her entire life loving and raising her child, being beaten and mercilessly thrown out onto the streets by her own son is too heartbreaking to overcome. But this is a common story among the elderly residents of the Guru Vishram Vridh Ashram. “I’ve seen mothers in old and torn clothes, their bodies smelling and their hands and feet rotting and covered in maggots,” shares Dr. G.P. The education of the children belonging to this class is to suffer a lot.‘Education for a change’ is a project to reach-out the students belonging to the social economically disadvantageous group. The students who are from poor financial background and school and college drop-outs on a large scale due to their financial conditions will be benefitted through this initiative. Team Kolorob will arrange various camps, scholarships, free coaching classes, motivational classes, provide aids relating to their courses, set up a library etc which will help them to come back to main stream education. Money will not be an obstacle for them. Actually Team Kolorob engaged themselves in this job since 2015 but when they feel for recognition they registered their initiative under societies registration act in 2018. We fervently appeal to all Samaritans and likeminded enthusiasts to extend their precious support in this mission. Together we shall usher a better tomorrow. 
 Free Coaching center:  This center is about teaching the children about education, discipline, values and importance of education. Education in schools does not fulfill the need of every learners. That will do this coaching center. It will surely give importance to capabilities, potentials, needs of a learner and move on accordingly. This classes may be held in the early morning or in the evening. Definitely the teachers will be trained and duly qualified.  
 Near about 100 students of the area concerned will be benefitted by this.

Asha (Hope for Living) - Donation of a cycle rickshaw or sewing machine for a poor villager as a livelihood optionTo create a sustainable livelihood for the poor, rural migrant labourers, and to help them to become self-employed by giving them a cycle rickshaw to men or sewing machine to women. Team Kolorob selects people living below the poverty line who cannot afford two square meals in a day. 
 Any unemployed rural worker irrespective of men or women who is desperate to earn but not getting anything we are there to help him or her either by giving a cycle rickshaw or a sweing maching. Since village roads are narrow, cycle rickshaws become the most convenient mode of transport. Women villagers are adept at running sewing machines. Therefore it helps the beneficiaries earn up to Rs. 150 - 200/- (2-3$) per day and approximately Rs. 5000/- (70-80$) per month. This income can significantly alter the standard of living for their families. The staff and volunteers choose the beneficiaries after proper inspection with the help of the villagers and the village Panchayat’s recommendation. 
 With a scope of minimum earning they can move forward in their lives.

Piyali is 14 years old girl. Her father is day labourer. Due to lockdown period he lost his job. So her study stopped.Sneha is 13 years old girl. Her father is a rickshaw-puller. During lockdown period he was bound to stay indoor and his savings came to an end.Reshma is 14 years old girl. Her father works as labour in a construction company. Due to lockdown period he lost his job. So her study also stopped.During the lockdown period we reached upto 150 families in different phases to stand by them. Our team manages to give them rice, potatoes, daal, cooking oil, onion, soap, mask. Those people who were somehow running their families before lockdown went on knees to manage everything. So we took a step to be with them.As the name suggests, this project intends to make others smile. Under this project, 15 students are being given Rs 500/- per month other than the free coaching that we offer. Most of them belong to tribal and minority communities. 
 Already free coaching classes and scholarships under the ‘Smile’ project have been arranged for few of them but their no is increasing.

Our team really is surprised to see the unhygienic management of Mentrual days. The women are not at all aware of the harmful implications on their health of such unscientific practices. We discover this when girls avoid schools during these days. 
 Now our team takes the initiative to distribute 500 napkins at free of cost through our female volunteers. 
 With this project, we aim to carry on with spreading awareness and dissemination of knowledge regarding menstrual hygiene.Since this distribution of sanitary napkins cannot be perpetual, we will be encouraging the women to use purchase and use the sanitary napkins. Through the seminars with the presesnce of Doctors, we wish to continue imparting progressive knowledge and learning to female students. We are certain that our Menstrual Hygiene Project will have a lasting impact on the lives of our beneficiaries and help them lead a better life.
