The extent of the struggles here was beyond my imagination. Vikramgad is one of the eight tehsils of Palghar District located in the tribal belt in the state of Maharashtra. As per the 2011 Census, Vikramgad Tehsil has a population of 1,14,254 with 52% males and around 48% females. The total number of houses here is 21,607 and these houses are spread across 447 different villages under 43 Panchayats. Out of this, more than 80% of the people live in rural and remote areas. The literacy rate in Vikramgad Tehsil is between 70 to 75%. Despite industrialisation and employment opportunities, the education system in Vikramgad is still comparatively poor. The population in Vikramgad Tehsil comprises of mostly indigenous tribal castes and subcastes. Through an assessment of the education system in this area, it has been revealed that no efforts have been made towards providing quality education to children. Most of the schools do not have laboratories and libraries and it adversely affects the curiosity of children. 
 Making A Difference Foundation, M.A.D, has decided to build a parallel channel to support the existing educational systems which would help students (tribal children) in learning the concepts in an innovative manner. These activities will be run by an organisation in &quot;Sci Tech Hub&quot; that is going to be established in Yashwant Nagar village. Schools and students will be served for free under this program. 
 150 tribal children will get educated every year, which will help them to lead their lives successfully in the future. This will improve the academic performance of children, by helping them understand the scientific concepts in their syllabus better.
