Musht Samaj Sewa Samiti has been exerting actively for the social and economic welfare of marginalized Korku tribal community. The organization’s efforts encompass areas like culture preservation, education, agriculture, livelihood, and skill-building among tribal youths of the block. For the past 6 years, the organization has successfully carried out a number of standalone and collaborative programs with the aim of solving challenges posed before the Korku tribe.</li><li>With the aim to provide quality education by focusing on activity-based learning and the usage of teaching-learning materials in the classroom to engage the students in the learning process so that they can improve their learning according to their respective class and ages. Khalwa, a remote block of Khandwa district in the periphery of the Satpuda Forest, Madhya Pradesh is facing a huge COVID-19 crisis. The villagers being affected by the COVID-19 virus are hit hard with no medical facilities. The nearest covid hospital is 45kms away from the block and arranging an ambulance or a vehicle to reach there is an added burden on the villagers. The health care centres nearby are also not equipped enough with basic amenities like blood pressure monitor, PPE kit, masks, oxygen cylinder and so on. Most of the villagers do not watch news, cannot read o, hence making it difficult for them to access accurate information from credible sources leading to many misinterpretations or no information most of the time. Many villagers have been reported to have succumbed to COVID-19. Lack of information/awareness and lack of medical facilities together have contributed to the larger crisis among the people of Khalwa. and now the daily wage earners and the impoverished community lost their livelihood due to the lockdown, and facing money shortage were not able to stockpile ration for the entire lockdown period. 
 <ul><li>We are going to arrange for blood pressure monitors, PPE kits, masks, oxygen cylinders, food, relief materials, required medicines for COVID-19 treatment and convert the hostels as a COVID-19 care centre for the villagers to access when in need. We are looking for a collaboration/partnership with the government to convert the unutilized hostels into COVID-19 care centres following all the required guidelines and protocols. If this intervention is not done, more villagers will suffer and lose the battle of life due to the inaccessibility of the medical care facilities.</li><li>Apart from arranging resources for COVID-19, a sensitization drive in the local language shall be conducted to reach out to maximum people and make the entire approach more participatory in nature. </li></ul> 
 <ul><li>We wish to bring the medical care facilities near the villagers so that accessing a Covid hospital 45kms away from the block doesn’t become a nightmare for them and curb down as many death rates as possible. The Khalwa block majorly inhabited by Korku tribe is well known for children dying due to malnourishment, this pandemic is making the community more vulnerable than ever. The community needs to be sensitized to the COVID-19 safety guidelines in their local languages so as to bring about behavioural changes for a lasting impact. </li><li>By fundraising 5 lakhs, we shall be able to purchase the resources, organize more people to support us helping people of Khandwa see a ray of hope to combat the deadly COVID-19 virus. </li></ul>
