Nammane Summane Welfare Trust is an NGO Started in 2020 by Nakshatra, a trans woman. It is an organization that shelters intersex people, orphans, transpersons, LGBTQIA+ individuals, persons living with HIV, persons living with disabilities, senior citizens and anyone else in need. At Nammane Summane, all their needs are taken care of. There are currently 40 residents at our centre, which includes senior citizens, orphaned Children, People with mental Disabilities and more.

Elderly parents, parents with illness, physical abuse victims and mental unstable patients are thrown out of their house without any mercy by their primary caregivers. They have no place to stay, no medical treatment no food and they suffer on the streets without any support. Most of them have contracted infectious diseases and are not in a position to take care of themselves and are left to rot on the streets.Also female sex workers conceive and abandon their new born babies on the streets. 2 Years back I rescued a new born baby that was just 7 days old from the garbage, they baby had been abandoned as it had both male and female sexual organs. Even though the society had abandoned the baby, I cound not turn my back on the baby.I adopted the baby aand became a mother. As a transwoman, I was abandoned by my parents and slept on footpaths and streets. Therefore, I can understand the struggle faced by these people on the streets. 
 The Nammane Summane home for the destitute was formed to rescue these unfortunate individuals and provide them a shelter. We have rescued a large number of people form the streets who have gone back to their families after getting proper care for their situation. The home provides 3 nutritious meals for its beneficiaries and medical care to these individuals apart from a place to live respectfully. They also undergo yoga and meditation to strengthen their body and minds. 
 In the next 3 years,We want to rescue all type of helpless orphans and destitute all over the state of Karnataka.There shouldn't be any person without care.Our Nammane Summane should be a permanent home for these people.I want to change MY CITY, MY STATE, MY COUNTRY. I NEED YOUR SUPPORT .
