NFI's primary focus is to reduce neonatal mortality rates, which fall within the scope of SDG 3's target to reduce under-five mortality rates and preventable deaths of newborns. By providing access to Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) for critically ill newborns, regardless of their economic background or geographic location, NFI addresses the broader goal of universal health coverage (UHC) as outlined in SDG 3.

Dr Chethana HS and her nonprofit Neonates Foundation of India have been on a mission to save the lives of newborn babies by providing them the treatment they need and preventing mothers from going through the pain of losing their children.Dr Chethana says, “A mother losing her child is like an irreplaceable void in somebody's life.
