For a mother who has spent her entire life loving and raising her child, being beaten and mercilessly thrown out onto the streets by her own son is too heartbreaking to overcome. But this is a common story among the elderly residents of the Guru Vishram Vridh Ashram. “I’ve seen mothers in old and torn clothes, their bodies smelling and their hands and feet rotting and covered in maggots,” shares Dr. G.P. Bhagat, founder of the ashram. These abandoned elderly men and women lay starving on the streets hoping for someone to rescue them from their suffering. The Guru Vishram Vridh Ashram has a dedicated rescue team that saves the elderly from the streets and gives them immediate medical care upon their arrival at the home. To tend to the multiple health complications of the seniors, the home has a medical facility with doctors and nurses, a physiotherapy unit, a pathology lab, a digital X-ray monitoring machine and a pharmacy to provide 24-hour care to older adults anytime they require assistance, even during emergencies. After undergoing years of medical treatment and therapy at Ashadeep, Preeti has seen substantial recovery. She feels glad to have finally found a safe home.Dr Anjana Goswami along with her husband Mukul, started Ashadeep Day Rehabilitation Centre four decades back and since then, the couple have rescued over 1,200 mentally ill homeless from the streets. Without a safe shelter, they are subjected to constant sexual abuse on the streets,” shares Dr Anjana while shedding light on the extreme difficulties faced by homeless mentally ill patients. SEVASHRAM is a school run by NIRMITEE FOUNDATION at Yelamb village near Shirur in Beed District. The founders Suresh and Mayuri Rajhans have been running a FREE residential school for the kids of the artisans working in the field of "Tamasha". It is a theatre-based folk art of Maharashtra, which requires the artisans to travel most of their life, leaving their children behind at their villages to fend for themselves. Suresh and Mayuri inspired by the legend Dr Baba Amte's blessings started this school in 2011, with around 28 resident students with 12 girls. 8 of their students are also taking higher education at different colleges, sponsored by the Nirmitee foundation. The Nirmitee Pratishthan school "Sevashram" currently houses 28 students with 12 girls. It is on the outskirt of the town Bramhanath Yelamb. The students are from class 1st to 6th. It is a full-service residential campus managed by the trust. The services include – food, hostel, clothes, beds, stationary, exam fees. It also has a full-time staff of 5 teachers who double up a volunteer along with Suresh and Mayuri Rajhans who are the founders of this trust with a noble cause.The town does not have a water supply scheme from the local government. The water needs span from the drinking, cooking/cleaning in kitchen, bathrooms, lavatories, facilities cleaning, plant watering. Because of the water scarcity, the students, as well as the staff, must get the water required for all the above needs from a Water Borewell with Handpump and a Water Well in the town which is almost 3 km away from the school campus. Also, during the summer or drought times, this problem is worse. Sometimes they even must pay to get water for use using tankers on the campus. This is not a very economic practice for a school that does not have a government or regular stream of funding. 
 Around a year ago we started discussing ways to solve this water problem faced by the trust. We ideated on many solutions, including installing a machine to get water from the air, which was not feasible as the air in this area is dry. We also considered laying a pipeline from a common village Water Well, though it was not approved.After consulting with local authorities, we came up with the idea of digging a Water Well nearby to the school. We did a geological survey and found a site that had good underground water. The chosen site is alongside a river, which has very minimal water flow but a good underground flow of water.The local Gram Panchayat obliged by picking up the expense for digging the well. Which started on 20th April this year. The expense of digging and constructing a Water Well is around ₹ 8 lakhs. For constructing the pipeline along with the water motor, will need a fund of ₹ 3 lakhs. 
 “Sevashram” is a full-service residential school for children of the local artisans who work in local folk art of “Tamasha” and “Dombari”, and all the students need water as life’s necessity. By completing this project of water well and the pipeline it will satisfy their water woes and need.This funding campaign through GiveIndia will satisfy this current need.
