Child labour is a significant problem in the textile industry in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, India. Children, especially from marginalized communities, are often forced to work long hours in textile factories to help support their families. The work can be dangerous, with exposure to hazardous chemicals, sharp machinery, and other health and safety hazards. Child labour in the textile industry can also prevent children from attending school and receiving an education, perpetuating the cycle of poverty and exploitation.Despite laws prohibiting child labour in India, enforcement is weak, and many textile factories continue to employ children. However, there are efforts underway to combat child labour in the textile industry in Dindigul. NGOs and civil society organizations are working to raise awareness and advocate for stronger laws and enforcement. Additionally, some companies are implementing monitoring and remediation programs to identify and address instances of child labour in their supply chains. 
 <ol><li>Raising awareness: Educating parents, community members, and girls themselves about the importance of education and the long-term benefits it brings can help to shift attitudes and beliefs that may be preventing girls from attending school.</li><li>Providing financial support: Many rural families struggle to afford school fees and other expenses associated with education. Providing financial support in the form of scholarships, transportation, and other resources can help to make education more accessible for girls.</li><li>Creating a safe and supportive learning environment: Schools should be free from violence, harassment, and discrimination, and should be inclusive of girls from all backgrounds.</li><li>Providing access to vocational training: Providing vocational training opportunities for girls can help to prepare them for the workforce and provide them with the skills they need to pursue higher education or start their own businesses.</li></ol>

Peace Trust implements programmes through grass root level interventions in two major Districts of Tamil Nadu, namely Dindigul and Nagapattinam Districts. It implements programmes through networking strategies all over Tamil Nadu and maintains a cordial and coincident relationship with all its stakeholders.Peace Trust has been commended as an agency for successfully initiating mass movements in universal development issues such as child rights, ecological rights, migrant workers' rights and their issues, women's rights and community development through mass media. Special focus for vulnerable and poor youth for skill development and gainful employment is one of mission of Peace Trust. WOMEN EMPOWERMENTTo empower women by forming them into self-help groups, promoting micro enterprises and equipping them with comprehensive and conducive knowledge on governance, immoral trafficking, HIV/AIDS, Health of nutrition on usher in an integrated and wholesome development.
