Pune city and the areas around it is home to a multitude of wildlife. The landscape that surrounds us and these amazing creatures has greatly changed over the last decade. The growth in urban development, shifts in agricultural patterns and climatic changes have led to an increasing number of wildlife coming into conflict. Increasingly, these animals have been getting reported to the helplines of our organisation, RESQ Charitable Trust, that has been providing aid to animals in distress since 2007. 
 Since 2018, we dedicated a section of our land and resources for a Wildlife Unit after which the Maharashtra Forest Department approved RESQ as a Wildlife Treatment Transit Centre. Since then, we have been working with wildlife in many areas of rescue, rehabilitation, mitigating conflict while strengthening our teams one step at a time.  
 The work we do at RESQ Charitable Trust inherently involves rescuing wildlife from conflict of several different kinds and many of them come to us in very critical conditions. While we put in our best efforts for each of them- we know we cannot save every single animal but one of the things that continues to drive us is their resilience to live when they are rescued or being treated.  What motivates us is watching the ones that recover getting released back in a safe habitat where they belong. Whether it is an animal running back into the wild or a bird flying into the sky, you know it is home, free and has a second chance at life. Watching them free is what makes us go on.

Our Veterinary Hospital in Pune houses and provides medical treatment and care to over 250+ animals at any given time. Our Onsite Ambulances or compassionate individuals from the general public bring in animals who are suffering from broken limbs, diseases, wounds or road accidents. Our staff which comprises of Veterinary Doctors, Veterinary Assistants and Animal Caregivers attend to hundreds of animals daily.
