For a mother who has spent her entire life loving and raising her child, being beaten and mercilessly thrown out onto the streets by her own son is too heartbreaking to overcome. If the children don’t relent even then, the abusers put chilli powder so that children will say “yes” because of the burning of the skin… There are teeth marks on their bodies, and their vaginal parts are burnt. When children stay in these conditions, it is painful even to hear,” says Lalitha SA of the Society for Participatory Integrated Development (SPID), while talking about many heart-rending stories of trafficked children in red-light areas. In over three decades, the team of SPID led by Lalitha, has saved over 3000 children from the red-light areas in Delhi, such as GB Road, and many from clutches of sex trafficking. In India, the struggle of the poor starts from the time of their birth. The daily wage labourers, living in utter poverty and unable to find work in their villages, migrate to other metropolitan cities in search of livelihood. Children drop out of school to help sustain their families. Coronavirus pandemic has even worsened their situation. Vulnerable children suffered to a greater degree due to school closure. They have been unable to adjust to the situation due to the lack of tools and technology to attend online classes.According to <a href="https://www.unicef.org/reports/state-of-worlds-children" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" target="_blank">UNICEF</a>, about 25% of children in India have no access to education. Education is a universal right and should be accessible to everyone if the nation is to succeed. India is one of the largest democracies in the world, with two-thirds of its population living in poverty.Below are some of our findings based on surveys and interaction with children and their parents.<ul><li>Parents cannot afford quality education of their kids due to their low incomes.</li><li>Due to their curriculum in Hindi, most of them were struggling to read in English.</li><li>Lack of resources like smartphones, books, stationery.</li><li>They also dream of becoming a doctor, engineer, army officer, etc.</li></ul> Based on our findings and understanding the life of underprivileged communities, SFC has come up with the ambitious idea of Learning Centers. The overall objective will be the holistic development of those excluded children of the underprivileged communities and making them ready to compete in the market. The campaign is called “Hamein Padhao, Hamein Badhao”.A good quality education is the only way to help them realize their dreams and unlock their potential. Our campaign supports the UN Sustainable Development Goal 4 which aims to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”. With Learning Centers, SFC would like to bring out the hidden talent in poor children. It will provide a platform for the children to exhibit their talent. Besides, our focus at the learning center would be to imbibe good moral values, create health &amp; hygiene awareness through an environment of education.The curriculum will consist of:<ul><li>Imparting written and verbal, English skills</li><li>Computer education - by laptops &amp; projectors</li><li>Create awareness on education, health, hygiene, etc. </li><li>Spread awareness on abuse, law, and rights (Basic Level)</li><li>Various extracurricular activities &amp; development of soft skills</li><li>Environment awareness programs</li><li>Art &amp; Craft Activities to improve their creativity.</li></ul> Our campaign supports the UN Sustainable Development Goal 4 which aims to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”. The main aim of the center is to impart them with English learning, computer skills and other skills which can help them in their career so that they can be self dependent. We want to allow vulnerable children to develop themselves, find their inner potential, and discover their talents by making them self-dependent; This will aid them to come out of poverty. Scope For Change believes that education is the most powerful instrument and can resolve the most complex challenges. Moreover, we would also be supporting the entire education of exceptionally talented students of the learning centers. We ensure that each sponsored student acquires the formal education, knowledge, skill, and strategies necessary to reach their full potential and become productive, responsible citizens.At Scope For Change, we would be updating our curriculum and activities as per industry requirements with innovative methods so that their children can perform in their careers and improve their livelihood.

Everybody, especially children, waits for this festival time. Children, as they get a chance to eat their favorite foods and even get gifts. They wait to have good family time. But, the kids that are a part of SFC come from very humble backgrounds. Their parents can not afford to get them good clothes and gifts. They are used to wearing old clothes or using worn-out belongings. Seeing their suppressed wishes, SFC is willing to host a warm celebration at our premises for these loved children of our center.

In a country like India, it is critical for women and girls to have access to clean water, hygiene bathrooms, and appropriate hygiene to manage menstruation hygienically and with dignity; nevertheless, this is currently a neglected topic. Menstruation is the subject of many cultural beliefs, myths, and taboos. Managing menstruation and communicating with menstrual women are almost always subject to societal conventions or unwritten laws and customs.  Menstrual hygiene has a detrimental effect on girl's and women's schooling, wellbeing &amp; economic potential. As we all know, menstruation is a normal biological process that maintains the female reproductive cycle. Without this process, there would be no ovulation and hence, no reproduction. Unfortunately, this topic remains elusive and is even considered taboo in different parts of the world. In developing countries like India, women have to deal with menstruation secretly. Poverty, gender inequality, and repressive conditioning of women continue to deny access to proper menstrual hygiene products.According to BBC Magazine, around 70 % of the reproductive infections in Indian women occur due to poor menstrual hygiene. There are grave health risks in periods if adequate sanitary measures are not taken. 
 Mensuration Hygiene awareness is a valuable resource for women and girls of the vulnerable communities who want to improve their menstrual cycle. At Scope for Change, we believe that no woman should live with the shame of menstruation or suffer in silence. It is more than a year now since we started with the spread of menstrual awareness and hygienic product usage to deal with menstruation in order to avoid health risks during periods. We organize events where :<ul><li>Doctors impart knowledge to women about menstrual hygiene and its importance for their healthy future. </li><li>Providing refreshments to the attendees.</li><li>Doling sanitary packets for free with the guidance of using them correctly.</li></ul> 
 At the Scope for Change, we are aiming to assist them in reaching their full potential by empowering them in every possible way. Till now, we have educated 1000 women on menstrual hygiene awareness through conducting workshops and distributed sanitary pads to them.The reason for initiating this project is multi-fold, namely:<ul><li>Safety of women.</li><li>Raising voice against abuse.</li><li>To live a healthy lifestyle</li><li>Importance of sanitary pads</li><li>Educating women so that they can educate their child</li></ul>We continue to do this and educate more and more women with the support of our donors and volunteers.

COVID -19 pandemic has challenged our society in many ways. Our children have been impacted to a greater degree due to school closure. No one has been able to anticipate the school openings leaving our children void of basic learning particularly reading. While many private schools have the tools/ technology to run online classes, the government schools and other underprivileged schools have been unable to adjust to the situation and have suffered to a greater extent. Due to these conditions, the learning/ reading for govt. schools kids have come to a halt. Based on research, it may take 6 months to 1 year to come back to their earlier learning levels in many instances.Here are some facts : 50% of the kids studying in govt. schools do not have access to smartphones at home25% of the kids who even have a smartphone have network problems and hence, there are connectivity issues.Some kids with smartphones as well as internet connections get access to the smartphone for a limited time as the phone belongs to their parents and has to be shared amongst the siblings.Resulting in only 10-20% of the students having proper access to phones and the internet to attend uninterrupted classes. 
 Education today is no longer a luxury but a necessity in life. None can deny the essentials of a well-read educated person. But with the lofty school fees, it very often slips out from the grips of those who are economically weak. To their aid and assistance comes the Scope for Change. The NGO strives towards the betterment of the Indian Education System as a whole. Working towards the change we have started a Book Donation Project (Gyaan Ganga). To support their education, we started with our book donation project in 2020. So far, we have donated over 2492 books directly to the children or through our NGO partners. Our book donation campaigns have provided underprivileged children with the resources they require to get quality education; These resources, especially books, can give them a whole new possibility of life, along with the constant help and support of our donors. We have received a tremendous amount of support from our partners and donors in this project. Our target is to donate 10,000 books by next year. 
 India is a country with 1 billion people, and just one-third of them can read. Our Book Donation project aims to provide underprivileged children with the resources they require to get a quality education. By providing these children with these resources especially books we can give them a whole new possibility of life with the constant help and support of our donors.  Our aim is to help these underprivileged children with books as their gift of knowledge and a step towards their quality education. The donation of books can change their life by providing much-needed access to the resources they need in order to learn and grow. We are trying to empower underprivileged children through the education and resources they require to grow in their life and be self-dependent. We intend to promote a 100% literacy rate in India.
