Social Activities Integration-SAI is constantly working for Upliftment and making bright future of the deprived, marginalized and underprivileged children of Sex Workers for nation building activities.The children of Sex Workers residing in the Red Light Areas like Kamathipura &amp; Falkland, where the profession of prostitution of their mothers  is highly vulnerable of life threatening due to dreaded diseases and possibility of physical assault because persons from all categories and every walks of life are constantly visiting for the said activity and some of them are perverts. Hence this situational causing embarrassment and adverse impact on the minds of  the children and defraying from going to school. The atmosphere in their locality is very pathetic and not encouraging for pursuing the education. We therefore wish to come forward for providing the opportunity of the education to these children for their safety from the offence of sex-abuse and sexual exploitation by the male domination and to prevent the girls children from entering in to the activity of prostitution &amp; boys in to becoming pimps like their ill- fated mothers.Hence there is need of “APANI DUNIYA” away from brothel atmosphere. Morning children are attending public schools, Afternoon they attend Study Club in SAI’ s office at Byculla, Mumbai &amp; in the evening the return to them at 6 p.m. At that time they do not have space to seat &amp; study in their homes i.e. brothels &amp; they find it extremely difficult to sleep at night because of the continues prostitution of their mothers. Their living place is very small consisting of one bed having size of 3 *6 Feet. On the top surface of the bed the mother is carrying on prostitution activity and under the bed the child/ children are sleeping, there is no place for the children for the study peacefully and concentrate on it. Moreover, the customers visiting brothels are rude, aggressive, drunk &amp; unmannerly behaving inhumanly with the sex workers using slang words sometimes quarreling &amp; beating. Due to these children cannot sleep, focus on their studies &amp; seeing atrocities to their mothers by customers their behavior become uncommon, wild &amp; resulting in to irritating responding to others. This impact is very bad on the tender mind of the children. Hence to protect the wellbeing of the children &amp; build up bright future of the children it is also absolutely necessary to shift them to SAI’s 11.5 Acres own land and establish “APANI DUNIYA- OUR UNIVERSE” A proposed Shelter Project at Kuhe, Taluka –Bhiwandi, District- Thane.

Syed Alam (name changed), a 13-year-old resident of our school was brought into our care after reports of him not attending school regularly. Though his mother is herself uneducated, she recognizes the importance of schooling and is keen to improve her beloved son's station in life. Although a challenge at first, Syed has adapted well to life in the classroom. He used to strongly resist schooling, but with the help of our dedicated and observant teaching staff, he was eventually won over. Now he studies hard, plays sports well, and treats his peers with respect. He has even taken up computer coding seriously. His change is drastic, yet guided, and all of us at SAI expect great things from him. However, Syed's case is merely one among a million. There are countless other cases just like this that deserve our attention, but can't get it because of a lack of resources. That's where you come in. Date: August 31st, 2024Visited by: Edin Jayanthi We are pleased to report that SAI has made excellent progress in rescuing the poor and needy children from red-light areas in Mumbai. Our visit started at 11:00 AM where we met the project team and SAI founder Mr. Vinay. He took us through SAI's humble origins and remarked on the incredible developments in its capabilities and efforts through the years. The meeting was insightful and redoubled our conviction in SAI's mission. It was truly moving to learn how this nonprofit has worked relentlessly to break the chains of abuse that children in red-light areas face, providing them with safety, protection, and a chance for a brighter future. Hearing about the impact they’ve had on these vulnerable children left us with immense respect for the work being done and the dedication of everyone involved. It’s a testament to how compassion and relentless effort can transform lives. During our visit to a beneficiary’s home, a 10x10 space with minimal living conditions, we witnessed the harsh environment families endure. The building was unhygienic, with pan stains and garbage, making it unsuitable for children. This highlighted the urgent need for our project to build shelter homes for the children of women prostitutes, known as "Didis." The Didis expressed a strong desire to protect their daughters and ensure a better future, free from the harsh realities they currently face. SAI's commitment to efficiency is clear. Their reliance on digital financial infrastructure as opposed to using cash as well as their transparency ensures the smooth functioning and execution of their operations. Little Shweta (name changed) is a 5-year-old girl from Mumbai whose mother was ill-treated and entrapped in prostitution. Shweta was bound to follow in her mother's footsteps and needed outside support to escape the vicious cycle. SAI's timely intervention was crucial in rescuing Shweta from her dreadful conditions and sending her to school. With SAI's support, she got promoted from the second to the third standard! Social Activities Integration intervenes to send children just like her to institutions where they -. Receive free, healthy meals daily. Are taught English, Mathematics, Hindi, etc.. Are allowed to explore their interests by engaging in extra-curricular activities SAI provides the children of sex workers a future beyond their parent's dreams.
