Vidyodaya School was started only with 50 children in the year 1995 with the vision “Education for all for the betterment of our Nation” by Sree Narayana Guru Mission Charities. The founder had the ambition to start a school in Karaikal to offer quality and standard education even to poor children who cannot afford their education. The founder’s dream had come true as now the school has about 367 students who receive standard and quality education at affordable fees.As of now, the school functions in a rented building and the rent for the building costs Rs. 45000/- every month. Hence, we are planning to construct our own building. The land has been purchased but the construction of school would cost at least Rs. 9 Crores. The construction of an auditorium with a capacity of 2000 children is also in the plans. The auditorium is planned to use for the education purpose with free service for government departments. The home theatre is required for the pre-primary school children to organise audio-visual conferences in order to give different exposure to develop the communication of the children. We are also planning to set up a children's park to entertain the children in their studies as the wise use of leisure activity guides the children in the right way. We shall also purchase all kinds of sports materials to develop their muscular activity. Children in this scenario put pressure to study and never think of their sports activity. They would be encouraged to take part in the sports to promote ” A Sound Mind in a Sound Body”. We also need support to purchase school furniture for the children to place them in a comfortable and hygienic condition. 
 Vidyodaya School had its humble beginning in the year 1995 at Sethilal Nagar, Karaikal by Sree Narayana Guru Mission Charities Trust. The School is recognized by the Government of Pondicherry and has classes from Pre.K.G. to Standard X currently. Steps are being taken to upgrade the school to the secondary level in the coming years, in accordance with the norms of the government. We started with 50 children and at present, it has grown up to 343 children. It functions for the people who really want their children to study well and improve their personality. The approach is based on holistic learning and focuses on developing values of responsible citizenship by promoting a healthy environment, hygiene and cleanliness. Many children want to join this school for the quality of education but because of the lack of facilities in the building, we cannot accommodate more than 400 children. Vidyodaya is a co-educational English Medium School based on CBSE Syllabus. The medium of instruction in the School in English. Choice is given for second and third language.Vidyodaya School has produced eight batches of children for the board exam and all the batches have scored high marks with centum results. The school management always co-ordinates with the parents and jointly work for the development of each student as an individual.For the past 12 years (2006 – 2018), we are giving a centum result. Year by year, students strength had been increased. Our students are shining in various fields like engineering, medicine, law etc.,Starting next year, we are planned to begin +2 classes for our students. 
 The vision of the trust is “the good of all mankind irrespective of caste, creed or religion for a just human society”. The motto of the trust is “ love and service to the community”. The Trust serves the people by mobilizing contributions from the service-minded people. The main impact of this project will be that all poor students shall have a good education More than 900 students will be benefited every academic year.
