What we do

Partner since 2013
The unemployment rate in India is around 10% of the total work force, out of which a staggering 48 million are young adults. Most of them possess some form of formal education and are willing to work but have little to no opportunities.
At Sree Guruvayurappan Bhajan Samaj Trust, our Unnati program, which means “uplifting” in Sanskrit, provides vocational education combined with spoken English lessons; basic computer skills; values; and life skills, to underprivileged 18 to 25-year-old students, enabling them to find gainful employment. To this day, we have successfully found jobs for over 10,000 students.
We offer a 35-day vocational training programme, to the least educated, unemployed and economically backward with an assured job at the end of the training period. Moreover, students from BPL sectors are provided with free accommodation and food throughout the programme.
