We rescued her a few years later, but by then, she had already endured unimaginable trauma. Her stories broke my heart. Traffickers beat them with rods, burn them, and mutilate their private parts just to break them. Children are kept in separate apartments where multiple men abuse them and get addicted to substances”, Aaboo says. Through his NGO Purnata, Aaboo is on a mission not just to rescue the victims from red-light areas but also to rehabilitate them and give them a fresh start in life. To date, he has saved 85 children and 60 women from red-light areas, but for him, the job is far from over. As part of our aim of imparting vocational training and building the capacities of the young adults with special needs, they are being trained in the areas of cooking and hospitality. While doing so, we have also noticed a deep interest in cooking among them and observed that they derive a sense of accomplishment from it, along with learning new social skills, measurements and concepts of money. Hence, we have decided to turn it into a livelihood opportunity with Café Samarth. 
 Cafe Samarth is a concept which has been in operation at our V-Excel Sreyes Centre in MG road for the past three years. It has been demonstrated that young adults with challenges who participate in extensive training in a commercially viable project like this, can transition into open employment (like trainees being included in Sangeeta bakery) or in starting a commercial venture of their own with support from their families ( like a trainee's parents starting a cafe called Mitra).This project Cafe Samarth- Cafe on Wheels is being proposed at Sharada building in Mandavelli where we want to start a mobile kiosk which comes up two/three times a week for the beginning at peak snack time hours between 3-6 p.m. Students will prepare, serve, take orders; pack delicious, local, healthy, and multi cuisine snacks for the walk-in customers. Two benches which are foldable can be placed around the kiosk for some customers who might want to sit down and eat. A menu for the day will announce the hot snack, a food -on -the- go snack, and a freshly mixed salad or snack. This will be served or packed by the trainees at Cafe Samarth. Hand-holding and mentoring support will be extended to these individuals who would be employed in this project. 
 This model is based on our four pillars of vocational education and impact the lives of the young adults with special needs. It would uphold:Individuality: Students have chosen this vocation out of their own interest based on their own set of skills. So, we have the master chefs who will be doing the actual cooking, the hospitality team which will be looking after serving and packing services for customers, the “busy hands” who will assist the master chefs in chopping, cutting and mixing and the housekeeping team who will look after the cleaning, storage and stock taking of the items. Inclusion: An opportunity for the community and the persons with special needs to come together and celebrate food, a natural social equalizer. Independence: The cafe with a difference will be run by differently abled persons who will work with a little facilitation in the beginning but slowly work towards total independence in all the sub chores. Productivity: students will be engaged in a useful, commercial venture, which, even if it begins with a not-for-profit aim will slowly blossom into a good opportunity for trainees to become earning members of society in the time to come.
