And Maitri aspires to take care of every widow in need of help, but because of lack of funds, Winnie and Maitri are in a position to do it."Elderly widows don't have shelter. They sleep in cowsheds over sacks. They don't have a blanket. “What will happen to them after me? I am 80+. I spend sleepless nights,” worries ex-Air Force officer, Group Captain AC Barua while talking about the future of the 28 destitute women under his care. “They have nobody in this world, sometimes they don’t remember their own names. They are absolutely alone,” he informs us as he goes from one room to the other meeting all the women who live at Seneh, the only home where they are loved and taken care of. After fighting for his country all his life, this octogenarian is now fighting to rescue homeless and abandoned women from dying on the streets. But he cannot do it alone. “Everyday I keep on getting calls from here and there. ‘Oh! there’s a woman lying here. Can you help?’ But I don’t dare to go and help because I don’t have the money. I don’t have the resources, our resources are very limited,” explains Gr. Capt. Barua who is lovingly called ‘Sir’ and ‘Deuta’ (father in Assamese) by the residents of Seneh. With your help, 80-year-old Group Captain Barua can fulfill his mission of rescuing abandoned and homeless women from dying on the streets, alone. Many times these are women with mental health conditions and considered being a witch due to superstitious beliefs and beaten up as a result. They are victims of domestic abuse or widow mothers who are considered to be a burden on the family. Group Captain Barua has not only rescued them from critical conditions, he has provided them with urgent medical care, food and above all, a free safe shelter where they can live with love and care. Among these residents is Sarala Kalita who fled to save herself from the tortures of her alcoholic husband only to face neglect and trauma from her brothers- and sisters-in-law. “Both my brothers and their wives urged my father to leave me somewhere as they didn’t want to take care of me anymore. One day my brother’s wife didn’t even let me have food at home. She just wanted me to leave and go away. So that’s why, my father got in touch with Seneh through someone, and handed me over to Sir to take care of me,” says Sarita who has found joy in living at Seneh. “Coming to Seneh, it felt like I got a new life altogether. Sir has given me a harmonium. I love singing. It makes me forget everything and takes me to someplace else entirely,” she adds. More women like Sarala can find their way to a loving home like Seneh. All they need is a little bit of your kindness. “It is difficult to make both ends meet”To sustain their daily expenditure, Capt Barua needs approx ₹3 lakh a month and arranging the funds is a mammoth challenge for the NGO. “Our expenses are growing day by day. Residents are growing older, their sicknesses are increasing. At times we have to give them special food. They require more care so we have to get more employees. About half of them require leading around, 1-2 has to be fed also. It will be very difficult to sustain it unless we get help,” he added. One act of your kindness can save these abandoned women, with no one in this world, from struggling on the streets to survive. A hip-hop movement running for the last 10 years in the bylanes of Dharavi( Asia's largest ghetto).We are one of the very 1st School-of-Hip-hop in Asia located in the neighbourhood of Mumbai's 'DHARAVI' spreading knowledge and culture of Hip-Hop to the under-resourced and underprivileged talents. Dharavi is also a hub of domestic violence, the influence of alcohol and smoking up as a strong culture 'attracting' the under-resourced talent towards the nuances of the society. Also called TDDP, our foundation supports and showcases under-resourced hip-hop talent. This is the only school of its kind in the entire world where Knowledge is free and money is not a hindrance for the under-resourced. Through this initiative, we are trying -<ul><li>to help create and sustain an environment in which the under-resourced talent may be encouraged and educated</li><li>to help and expand opportunities for  under-resourced talent to have their work performed</li><li>to encourage an environment in which the common man has a better understanding of the value of music and its importance to the cultural and economic life of our society. </li></ul>TheDharaviDreamProject is a platform:<ul><li>to identify, nurture, mentor and showcase real talent from the under-served areas</li><li>to empower young talent not only in the Dharavi of Mumbai but Dharavi's of the world</li><li>for every kid in Dharavi to have free and easy access to the "After school of hip-hop" to share one's thoughts and expressions through music, dance and art form </li><li>to provide a medium to help them express social and political issues that are prevailing in and around their community day in and day out that affect them not only mentally but also emotionally. </li></ul>

The Dharavi DREAM Project - 1st ever school of Hip-Hop and one-of-its-kind is located in Dharavi where the lack of plants is adding to the climate change situation.It’s well understood that the carbon dioxide (CO2) we’re emitting into the atmosphere is causing the planet to warm. We also know that trees absorb CO2. So why not plant enough trees to take back all the CO2 we’re dishing outThe School of Hip-Hop building is also in shackles and needs painting and repair work.  
 Plant saplings - Few things can compare with the aesthetic impact and seasonal interest that trees offer the urban setting. They provide huge visual appeal to any area and can significantly enhance the design of a streetscape. We are looking at doing touch-ups on the walls of the building and also doing basic wear and tear.  
 <ul><li>We wish to plant 100 saplings.</li><li>Trees improve the livability of our cities for countless reasons</li><li>Trees also form an effective sound-absorbing barrier to help reduce unwanted urban noise pollution. </li><li>The biodiversity of trees in providing natural habitats for birds, squirrels, and other fauna is considered to some as incalculable. </li><li>Trees reduce temperatures by shade and transpiring water. This helps reduce air conditioning bills and energy use</li><li>In addition to air pollution, urban trees scale down the noise and water pollution. By acting as physical barriers, they buffer noise and filter stormwater to improve water quality in local waterways. Moreover, people living in cities with a substantial tree cover possess better health immunity</li><li>The air pollution in Mumbai is getting worse and we want to take a small step at our school by planting saplings.</li><li>Painting and repair work will create a vibrant space for the children to come and feel positive vibes at the school. </li></ul>
