“They insert a candle in the vagina, fingers are inserted (in the vagina) and tortured, and if children don’t relent even then, they put chilli powder so that children will say “yes” because of the burning of the skin… There are teeth marks on their bodies, and their vaginal parts are burnt. Under this project in Sanarapatti block, Dindigu district,Tamil nadu, India, which is a semi-urban and characteristically slum area. Slum people living in these area are living below poverty and they struggle to survive by doing odd jobs. For carrying out all these training programs, we need funds to meet the training costs and arrange for the raw materials indispensable to the training process. 
 WEDS education sponsorship program identifies 100 bright students from weak economic backgrounds and offers them scholarship for their higher studies every year. Scholarship scope- college fees, book fees, expenses, evening tuition fees, library, computer classes.We will be training these women in the skill of tailoring and garment making to help them get a better job opportunity.Age group- 18 years to 35 yearsDuration- 6 monthsTotal beneficiaries :120 young womenWe will provide certificates to trainees at the end of the month. 
 100 orphan students will become graduates and it will help them find a job for themselves . It will help them and their families in overcoming poverty and live a better life in future.By providing vocational training to these women, we will not only be making them financially independent, but also help them in building a healthy self-esteem.
