“I used to be sexually abused repeatedly, and when I screamed in pain, they hit and threatened me with more violence,” says Priya (name changed), a rescued child sex worker. Priya was abducted by traffickers and sold into a red-light area house before she was rescued by Guria led by Manju. For over two decades, Manju has been rescuing young girls forced into prostitution across the country. She has been shaken to the core seeing some of the most horrifying crimes that young girls have to undergo. “You can’t imagine the state of girls forced into sex work. The girls are given electric shocks and burnt with cigarette butts just to get kicks out of it. And if they get pregnant, the "owners" kick them repeatedly in the womb so that the child inside dies…If you want to see hell, it is here on this planet where young girls are sexually abused,” says Manju.Manju needs your help to rescue more young girls from forced prostitution and reunite them with their families. Donate now.Guria’s work over the yearsBased out of Varanasi, inarguably the holiest place in India, Manju and her organisation Guria, fights the sexual exploitation of girls, especially minors, by taking on the traffickers head-on, and rescuing and rehabilitating them.Started in 1993, Guria has rescued over 5500 persons from slavery, sex trafficking, and child prostitution so far. It has also been instrumental in shutting down hundreds of places that housed trafficked girls and putting scores of traffickers out of business and in jail.For instance, in 2005, a Guria-led rescue operation in Varanasi's red-light area led to the freeing of 49 women and girls, including minors. Many of them were kept against their will. Some of the traffickers were also arrested and tried. Since then, Guria has rescued thousands of young girls.Manju and her husband, Ajeet Singh began rescuing girls from Varanasi’s red-light areas and then working to stop the sex-trafficking of young girls within Uttar Pradesh and outside. The organisation’s aim is to eliminate the sex trafficking of women, especially minor girls, end second-generation prostitution and child prostitution, and rehabilitate women and girls who are rescued from the trade. Manju has faced violent backlash from the traffickers and other vested interests, but it has not deterred her from carrying on rescuing young girls from trafficking. Rescue and rehabilitationBesides rescuing girls trafficked for sex, mostly from low-income families, from across the country, Guria fights on their behalf in courts and also provides education, food, vocational training, and other facilities until they are united with their families. But because of a lack of funds, Guria is finding it difficult to rescue more girls and also take care of them once they are away from the clutches of the traffickers. Take the case of Sameena (name changed), who was abducted from Uttar Pradesh all the way to Telangana. Guria took it upon itself to rescue the girl with the help of its own work and also the authorities. After months of rehabilitation, Sameena went back to her family and even completed her education. Bhojpur Mahila Kala Kendra was established on 1st June 1993 as a SME to provide Skill Training to poor &amp; needy women. In 2000, a Senior IAS Officer Sri Amitabh Verma encouraged and supported us to get registered as a society to avail Govt. supports. Our organization BMKK is Reg. on 13.04.2000 under the society registration act and under the FCRA, I.T. 12A &amp; 80G. The organization is run by a seven-member executive body comprising all women members. BMKK is empanelled with TISS &amp; D.C. Handicrafts, Govt. of India and have Membership in many reputed organizations like AIH, Gender Alliance, BVHA and Executive Member in AATMA Bhojpur etc.BMKK is awarded by CAPART, Women &amp; Child Development Govt. of Bihar, APRAJITA Award from Leading Hindi News Paper Prabhat Khabar etc. in the field of Women Empowerment.In Feb- Mar. 2019 BMKK got Brand of India Award by Ministry of MSME for SME, This Award is presented by Hon. All technical &amp; certification support has been provided by USHA International with Quarterly monitoring and other support by BMKK. We are manufacturing Eco Friendly “Crochet Thread jewellery” that engaged 200 women’s families in Bhojpur district of Bihar. Women are working from home with good earning per day. Around 300-400 variations depend on skill and time. At present, we have 3500 registered women’s Artisan’s who are associated with BMKK and more than 200 SME having EM II Reg. with registration from Development Commissioner Handicrafts, Ministry of Textile and MSME Govt. of India.BMKK working on Health Issue Like Immunization, Access better Health services, Safe Abortion etc. with different donor agencies.BMKK also working on Save environment through campaign with Ministry of Forest &amp; Environment Note: I ANITA GUPTA Secretary of Bhojpur Mahila Kala Kendra, Bazari Sha Ka Mandir, Abar Pool Par, Ara, dist. The corona epidemic that killed many people all over the world and which shook the entire world's economy. Our India is also under the grip of this epidemic. But the people who live in poor towns and run their own houses with daily income have found it difficult to burn the stove at their homes both morning and evening.Due to lack of money, all the workers have started migrating to their respective states and homes. The thinking of all those people is that if you have to die of hunger due to money, then you should stay with your family members. But many people put forward their hands to help those labourers. Not one of the people, Anita Gupta, secretary of NGO "Bhojpur Mahila Kala Kendra ARA" and all the members of her organization are raising their hands to help a lot of people. 
 The organization plans to provide 10-day training on stitch cutting to one woman from each labourer's household in Bihar, giving them one sewing machine each for their family's livelihood, as well as linking them with the Usha Sewing School program. In which he will continue to make continuous efforts for the next 1 year in addition to his supervision, making him self-sufficient. With which they will be able to make money by training others and sewing and living with their families and can contribute to the economy of their family as well as other unemployed people of the village by engaging in this work. With your little help, you can help us in bringing back the lost employment of these poor and daily labourers and also prevent migration.We request you to please donate as much as possible to the charity fund of the institution.
