For a mother who has spent her entire life loving and raising her child, being beaten and mercilessly thrown out onto the streets by her own son is too heartbreaking to overcome. But this is a common story among the elderly residents of the Guru Vishram Vridh Ashram. “I’ve seen mothers in old and torn clothes, their bodies smelling and their hands and feet rotting and covered in maggots,” shares Dr. G.P. Bhagat, founder of the ashram. These abandoned elderly men and women lay starving on the streets hoping for someone to rescue them from their suffering. People are dying at home and outside hospitals without a fair chance at survival. OxygenAid gets life-saving oxygen to Bangalore and surrounding areas through a library of oxygen equipment such as much-needed oxygen concentrators (a CONTINUOUS supply of TANKLESS oxygen using ambient air).

 Aarogya Seva: Global Health Volunteer Alliance, founded by Dr. Daya is a not-for-profit, humanitarian organization aiming to provide Health for All by engaging stakeholders to contribute to making health and healthcare services affordable and accessible with flexibility and shared responsibility. I am sure you are following the news in India. We are hitting new highs everyday crossing the 300,000 mark. Bangalore, my city, tops the list with over 10,000 new cases and more than 2000 deaths. A lot of these deaths are because people have no beds, no access to oxygen, no ICU and ventilators. It breaks my heart to say that people are literally gasping for oxygen and begging for air. The governments, hospitals, non-profits are all doing their best but we need to come together to provide all the support. We are mobilizng 50 emergency covid beds in partnership with TrueLife Mahabodhi Hospital and 10 mobile Intensive Care Units. Each Mobile ICU set up will have the following:1. Mobile Van2. Oxy log Ve 300 Ventilator3. C type Oxygen Cylinder with flow system4. Suction device5. ECG6. Basic Instrumentation7. UV Sterilization device8. Echo optional9. Defibrillator10. Bed11. FabricationWe are also looking at setting up oxygen beds in hospitals in a 100 km radius of Bangalore to cope and prepare as the wave is expected to reach outside Bangalore soon. I am working closely with the government and several other large hospitals here in setting up mobile ICU's, Oxygen generators, concentrators, new make shift hospital set ups. We also have a strong network of medical and non medical volunteers on the ground.<ol><li>Funding needs:</li></ol>           a. Immediate Funding for 200 O2 Concentrators (Shipping, stocks, transport    and distribution covered)           b. 10 Mobile Medical Transit ICU's (Equipment only - Vehicle, man power, Ops cost covered).           c. Part support for a restarting of HIPPA Compliant Tele Health and Mental Health Helpline ( Supported by Azim Premji Foundation in First Wave)           d. Food distribution for patients and caregivers in hospitals in Bangalore. (Food being delivered to home quarantined patients but under served patients in government beds in Pvt Hospitals who cannot afford hospital private canteens or catering services being left out. Top Chef, kitchen, distribution volunteers available).          e. Support for an Oxygen Generator plant. 
 This will provide respite for patients in transition and waiting to identify the availability of beds at the right hospital before being transported there.
