For a mother who has spent her entire life loving and raising her child, being beaten and mercilessly thrown out onto the streets by her own son is too heartbreaking to overcome. But this is a common story among the elderly residents of the Guru Vishram Vridh Ashram. “I’ve seen mothers in old and torn clothes, their bodies smelling and their hands and feet rotting and covered in maggots,” shares Dr. G.P. Bhagat, founder of the ashram. These abandoned elderly men and women lay starving on the streets hoping for someone to rescue them from their suffering. If the children don’t relent even then, the abusers put chilli powder so that children will say “yes” because of the burning of the skin… There are teeth marks on their bodies, and their vaginal parts are burnt. When children stay in these conditions, it is painful even to hear,” says Lalitha SA of the Society for Participatory Integrated Development (SPID), while talking about many heart-rending stories of trafficked children in red-light areas. In over three decades, the team of SPID led by Lalitha, has saved over 3000 children from the red-light areas in Delhi, such as GB Road, and many from clutches of sex trafficking. Owing to limited income sources, parents spend a bare minimum for their children’s education and health. This results in a massive decline in the standard of education of these children often leading them to dropout school. Poverty also has a rampant effect on the health of the children. Non-availability of nutritious food makes them more prone to malnutrition and stunting. There is an urgent need to improve the quality education and additional nutrition support among these rural students. 
 Nalantha is working for the past 15 years to alleviate the rural communities of their sufferings. We have provided children’s scholarship and conduct coaching classes for school going children. We run evening coaching classes in five villages and 100 students have benefited till now. These classes are conducted for two hours in the evening by part-time tutors. 
 With your support, we aim at improving the educational standard of 200 students from 5th to 10th standard along with their nutritional levels. We will focus on conducting extracurricular activities and spoken English classes for the students. To bring them at par with other children, revision tests will be conducted frequently and 10 part-time tutors will guide them in their homework. To improve their nutritional status, refreshment will be provided in the classes.

Now a Days our world is facing the very serious condition due to COVID – 19. All aspects of life has been changed and we are undergoing into a new practice of life. In this situation the highly affected people are the daily wages labors. And they are in very pathetic condition though they are not in a situation to get their daily bread. And their future became a big question mark to restart their regular life style. Though they only depend on the day to day work and the earnings from that.Even though they are managing their daily food with the free provisions given by the local government and local NGO’s, they were not able to get proper protein rich food. Hence the children in such family were highly affected due to protein deficiency. And the recent research claims that the mortality rate will be increased in the upcoming days to the effects COVID -19. The children from our target community were highly venerable and will be easily affected by vitamin deficiency, though they were poor and their parents were not able to feed them with complete vitamin and protein rich food.  
 The children in such critical condition and the victims of vitamin deficient will be identified from the target community and will be given proper vitamin supplement by giving protein rich flour and this includes all nuts, sprouts and millets made in the tradition methods for protein supplement.According to current situation nearly 150 children were identified to give protein supplement and the flour will be prepared in the traditional way and will be distributed to the children directly to their home. And they will be provided with and milk and sprouts weekly thrice directly to their home.  Once the project is implemented the poor children will be able to get proper nutrients in this critical situation and they will survive with the healthy life.They will be able to sustain their healthy life in this critical situation and their parents will be free from spending amount for their children protein rich food despite they can spend their limited earnings in the upcoming year for their other emergency expenses.And these children can compete with the other children who can live a healthy life without any difficulties and this may increase their living quality despite their difficult situation.

Now a Days our world is facing the very serious condition due to COVID – 19. All aspects of life has been changed and we are undergoing into a new practice of life. In this situation the highly affected people are the daily wages labors. And they are in very pathetic condition though they are not in a situation to get their daily bread. And their future became a big question mark to restart their regular life style. Though they only depend on the day to day work and the earnings from that.Even though they are managing their daily food with the free provisions given by the local government and local NGO’s, their children future and their education remain unstable due to the lack of income during these lock down period.Now with some recent relaxation government had planned to open schools, but the daily wages workers remain with no work due to the restriction for certain works where the daily labors were hugely involved.And the children of such parents were not able to continue their education in this current situation.
