For a mother who has spent her entire life loving and raising her child, being beaten and mercilessly thrown out onto the streets by her own son is too heartbreaking to overcome. But this is a common story among the elderly residents of the Guru Vishram Vridh Ashram. “I’ve seen mothers in old and torn clothes, their bodies smelling and their hands and feet rotting and covered in maggots,” shares Dr. G.P. Bhagat, founder of the ashram. These abandoned elderly men and women lay starving on the streets hoping for someone to rescue them from their suffering. With this project we have a committed goal to see every child getting proper education instead of working in a shop or domestic place.

As part of the Prithvi Ki Umar Badhao (PUB) project we have been focusing on enhancing cleanliness of Rivers (Ram Ganga, Ganga, Yamuna, Rispana), Waste Management & Composting, Tree Plantation and Adoption & Give Up Plastic Campaign in the society with the help of communities and students. The emphasis is on developing a just and eco-friendly community that is committed for sustainable development.

So far, We have taught more than 1800 underprivileged children under our project Pa8shaala, organised various awareness campaigns on waste segregation &amp; composting, have cleaned and collected more than 125000 kgs of solid waste through cleanliness drives at Ganga, Ram Ganga and Yamuna river banks with Prithvi ki Umar Badhao (PUB) Project, Distributed Sanitary Pads to more than 20000 women and provided skills as well as computer education to 500+ underprivileged girls of rural areas under Panthini Project and made 1000+ successful blood donations, donated 2500+ blankets and food packs to underprivileged sections under Prayas Project.

The pandemic has caused education to take a backseat in the lives of children and is pushing them into drug abuse, child labor etc. Through Project Pa8shaala, Parivartan "The Change" Society seeks to provide smart education, and enroll students from slum areas across districts in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi back in school. A contribution of ₹500 will support a child's education for one month. A donation of ₹3000 will provide comprehensive care for one child for 3 months.The Constitution (Eighty-sixth Amendment) Act, 2002 inserted Article 21-A &amp; Right to Education in the Constitution of India to provide free and compulsory education of all children in the age group of six to fourteen years as a Fundamental Right. The reason being, the fact that India’s literacy rate is still 76% after 70 years of Independence. This is just a literacy rate and not educated rate, which is even low than this.As Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Education is the key to eliminate gender inequality, to reduce poverty, to create a sustainable planet, to prevent needless deaths and illness, and to foster peace. And in a knowledge economy, education is the new currency by which nations maintain economic competitiveness and global prosperity. Education is an investment, and one of the most critical investments we can make. Every human being needs oxygen to survive in the world and education is as important as oxygen because education gives people the knowledge and skills they require. Education is important to people of all ages and it has no limit, but considering children our future of the nation they need it the most.”Parivartan “The Change” started the Project Pa8shaala on May 06, 2017 with a belief that securing our future generation can leads to securing a family, society and nation at large.In Moradabad, where we started our NGO, we witnessed several issues related to children. We saw children who are more prone to drugs, tobacco, begging and child labor. These children were deprived of their basic right to learn and being educated to lead a life where they are empowered to fulfill their aspirations and dreams. The question that came in front of us was that despite having primary schools, convent schools, private aided schools why these children deprived of the basic right to education and live a dignified life at large? Thereafter, we all decided and pledged to work for these deprived kids who need our outmost care and this gave birth to our Project Pa8shaala.During Covid-19 kids of these under privileged sections are even more affected since their offline classes are shut down and their socio-economic condition are not allowing them to study with Laptops and computers through online mode. 
 Pa8shaala - an initiative to educate and enroll slum children in school, was initiated on 6th May 2017 with just 25 kids at our very first location, Kapoor Company, Moradabad U.P. Pa8shaala aims at educating kids from underprivileged sections of the society, mostly slums of both urban and semi-urban areas.A pa8shaala location is started for a 4months bridge course which covers basic academics as well as morals and ethics subject for their holistic development.Under Pa8shaala, we put thrust on over all development of child through various activities and tasks togenerate the spark and make them a good and responsible citizen. We believe society and nation can onlyprogress, if our youth and future generation are well aware of their duties and responsibilities as a sincere citizen of the nation.So not only academic education but also moral,ethics and personality grooming is our focus.Pa8shaala in its planning stage aimed at establishing a just society free from majority of odds and hence started working for education in slums.  The major impact will be on more enrolments of slum /underprivileged kids in government primary schools, thus having a greater impact in mainstreaming education of these kids. When we started our project Pa8shaala, they had no idea, interest and engagement in the education field. Neither did they know about themselves nor were aware of the basic details about their families and the society they live in. Within a month or two the ones who were below the line of selfconsciousness, today can show respect towards the elder, and behave well with juniors. They are well-mannered children who can proudly introduce their parents. Moreover, now they know how they can serve their surroundings and nature. The ones who didn't know how to speak now are able to write, not only their names but also the basics of Hindi, English &amp; Mathematics. They can at least check whether they are being cheated by the local shopkeeper or not. For us, this is a huge transformation but we all along have a long way ahead!Instead of having a life without colours now they can enjoy the rainbow of life with multi colours and have a standard (learning) form of games to play, through craft activities they can form the base of their dream house not with bricks and cement but with paper and clay (as it is said something is better than nothing). Many of them now want to be a singer or dancer, as they realise it is one by which they can enjoy their lives more freely or can have it in a better way. Now they know, the place where they exist, they know about a planet called Earth, they visualize little stars like them who now are twinkling, they feel proud about their nationality to whom they belong and feel proud to say "Jai Hind" with a roar and thunder. When it comes to education, girls lag behind boys significantly. This situation arises due to the patriarchal mindset of a lot of families in India. Girls are often viewed as future housewives and family caretakers. They are often deprived of higher education and in some cases even school education. Being educated gives an equal opportunity for women to be skilled workers who use their learning as a boon that will help better the future of their families and their communities. But here we are focusing equally on girls and boys irrespective of the gender issues and indeed the focus towards girls is even more as we believe that a girl alone can sustain two families through one life both in-laws and her own family so making her independent and educated is our foremost duty. It’s quite disheartening to see many children involved in activities like child labour, working in shops, living in villas as guards, working as domestic labourers in apartments, homes and even some are addicted to tobacco and begging.

The ones who don't know how to speak now they are able to write, not only their names but basics of Hindi, English &amp; Mathematics. They can at least check whether they are being cheated by the local shopkeeper or not. This for us is a huge transformation but we all long that we have a long way ahead!Instead of having a life without colours now they can enjoy the rainbow of life with multi colours and have a standard (learning) form of games to play, through craft activity they can form the base of their dream house not with bricks and cement but with paper and clay (as it is said something is better than nothing). Many of them now want to be a singer or dancer, as they felt it is one by which they can enjoy their lives more freely or can have it in a better way. Now they know, the place where they exist, they know about a planet called Earth, they visualize little stars like them who now are twinkling, they feel proud about their nationality to whom they belong and feel proud to say "Jai Hind" with a roar and thunder.When it comes to education, girls lag behind boys significantly. This situation arises due to the patriarchal mindset of a lot of families in India. Girls are often viewed as future housewives and family caretakers. They are often deprived of higher education and in some cases even school education. Being educated gives an equal opportunity for women to be skilled workers who use their learning as a boon that will help better the future of their families and their communities. But here we are focusing equally on girls and boys irrespective of the gender issues and indeed the focus towards girls are even more as we believe that a girl alone is able to sustain two families through one life both in-laws and her own family so making her independent and educated is our foremost duty. It’s quite disheartening to see many children are involved in activities like child labour, working in shops, living in villas as guards, working as domestic labourers in apartments, homes and even some are addicted to tobacco and begging.

At present where the whole country is moving towards digitalization, IT companies are creating most jobs and contributing significantly to the country's GDP , there is a major section of the society which is still untouched by this digital revolution. Girls and women of rural areas are the one who still doesn't know about basic working of computer and how they can learn new things using computer with internet. Also with the access of internet and mobile phone, girls are prone to various types of cyber crimes due to lack of awareness. And this issue needs to be addressed for rural development. 
 Basic Computer Course Training program - To empower girls/women with modern-day technologies especially with the knowledge of Basic Computer Operations, along with online utilities, Internet, Social Media and cyber crime. It’s a 45-60 Days program where in we teach girls from rural areas who were earlier not at all aware about computers &amp; their importance. 
 The girls who had taken part in BCCT Program empowered themselves by donating their time for 60 days in their betterment. Now they are quite comfortable in handling the computers on which their fingers trembles before. Now they don't take it as a taboo and have the confidence to work along with society.
