Out of total of 75 districts in the state. District Gautum Budh Nagar is one of the districts which are in the immediate vicinity of Delhi. The districts has Noida, an important industrial town that is developing very fast and have hundreds of small, medium and big scale industries, IT hub and multinational companies in various segments of service sector. As a result, hordes of people from other parts of the country come here in search of job and employment. The gap between skill set among the youth, women and the industry requirement is very wide. This gap only be filled through training and skill acquisition among youth from local communities. SADRAG mission to enable every youth the dignity of self-reliance, Skill development Centre were initiated in 2015 to enable under-served youth and adults to improve their livelihood options. SARTHAK is a Computer &amp; Graphic Training Centre situated in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. We engaged with youths and society in the field of social and skill development. So that everyone can get an equal opportunity to grow. We provide vocational training to people so that they can become self-sustaining members of society.  
 We improve the digital knowledge and skills of all youth, including members of vulnerable social groups, in order to enable the monitoring of the development of ICT technologies in all fields and to meet the needs of the economy and industrial market. The vision of proposed intervention to facilitate the empowerment of youth through skill acquisition and livelihood so that they can improve their quality of life. The proposed program would aim at the following objectives: • Improving basic &amp; advanced digital skills • Lifelong learning of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) • Developing digital skills in relation to the needs of the sustainable livelihood options • Groom youth from rural and semi-rural areas and prepare them for sustainable livelihood • Fill the existing gap between industry requirement and trained manpower. • Improve digital competences • Our core focus on improve and enhance the economic status of Adolescents Youth particularly for those girls who have never stepped out from their homes. The gap between skill set among the youth, women/girls and the industry requirement is very wide. This gap may only be filled through training and skill acquisition among the youth through a structured mode. 
 Till now we trained 1500 youth in retail management, basic Computer Skills, Graphic Design, Financial Literacy, Spoken English, Tally &amp; Soft Skills. Separate classes were held for different areas of learning with the help of in-house faculty, corporate volunteers, college interns &amp; domain experts. There are many beneficiaries who have received benefits through our skill development courses. Many have been placed in very good company, many youth have learned how to use the computer, mobile apps and create design. Few of them have even set up a business of their own. We firmly believe that Digital Literacy will help children from all backgrounds pick up skills related to IT and Personality development. The program will transform the learning standards of youth and will significantly boost their academic ecosystem and make them tackle industrial challenges in the future. We will train about 100 youth. Transform the Lives of Youth through Technical & Soft Skill! #SocialforGood

We work for child protection issues in peri-urban and rural communities of Greater Noida and Dadri. These areas lack a comfortable public transport system which makes it difficult for us to ferry the distressed child to a safe and protected place. We rely on odd means of transport which may not be comfortable for an already distressed child. 
 We want to create a sustainable solution through the purchase of a second hand Van for children. The van would be a permanent asset for the distressed children would be ferried with comfort and safety from one place to another. It will benefit children year after year. Also the Child Line team members would reach the distressed child in a much shorter time, provide instant help, take him/her to hospital, child home or child welfare committee comfortably. We will not have to run with the child/children here and there looking for a means of transport. The redressal and rescue will be respectful for the child. 
 The distressed child would be safe, respected and cared better through the respectable means of transport. It would also help the children get the feeling of being cared for.As observed over the years, the children generally belong to impoverished families. They deserve to be treated respectfully and with dignity which would contribute to their psychological social and emotional health.The Child Van would enable us to reach the far flung rural communities where we would be able to visit to generate awareness and empower the community on child protection issues. It would ensure the safety of the Child Line team who are there on the ground and work in extremely hostile conditions at times.

Observation Homes for Children in Conflict with Law are meant for the temporary reception of children in conflict with law during the pendency of an inquiry against them. These children between 08 - 18 years of age, who are accused or found guilty of having committed an offence most often come from underprivileged socio-economic backgrounds. Faced with poverty, lack of education, parental neglect &amp; abuse, they have a low self-esteem and may resort to crime in extreme situations. In adverse circumstances, these children may become serious offenders later in life. The children in conflict with law stay in Observation Homes while their offences are investigated by the Juvenile Justice Board. Most often the wait for decision is unprecedently long and the crucial phase of life is lost in the grueling routine of Home. The mental and social growth stops as children are huddled together in an uninspiring and dull routine of Home. The children have to follow the JJ Court’s decision which may pertain to the punishment or their freedom from the Observation Home. The future of these children remains in limbo in either kind of the situation.  
 A majority of Observation Homes do not have the funds to provide basic education and training to these children as there is no such dedicated provision in the budget of these homes. Children in these Homes need education and training to be brought into the mainstream. What they do not need is to be shunned and lose out on years of schooling and education. The aim of this programme is to bridge the gap and prepare these children for a life beyond the four walls of the Home. Education is the most powerful tool which we intend to use with life skills training. The life skills education would equip the children with skills required to address the issues of everyday life. It would guide them to deal with situations with the approach of consensus, mutual understanding and resilience of agreement. The two months engagement would comprise a rich experience for children as well as provide them with the psycho-social support that they may not otherwise get being away from family. The children would be motivated to build their life based on the learning and skills imbibed during the course.  
 We wish to provide basic education to these children who are living in Observation Homes so that they can return to mainstream education and rebuild their life. The government’s lack of expertise and funds to operate observation homes for juveniles has prompted us to initiate preparatory short term training courses to support these centers. We at SADRAG want to prepare these children to face the world and overcome their struggles. Through this programme, we will focus on:⦁	Basic Computer Knowledge and Operations⦁	Life skills education and Coping Strategies ⦁	Psycho-social support for balance in lifeThe integrated participatory two months learning would motivate children to rebuild their life once they are back to the family and their community. The re-building process would be easier and quicker for the children who have faced neglect and stigma in their life.

Sarthak - Preparing Children in Conflict with Law for reintegration with Mainstream Society

India faces a major problem in rampant illiteracy. Despite the Right to Education (RTE) Act coming into force in 2010, access to education for every child remains a huge concern in the country. One in 4 children of school-going age is out of school with 99 million children in total have dropped out of school (Census 2011). So enrollment as well as retention in formal schooling remains a big concern. There is a very little understanding on the reasons for low enrollment and even a lower retention of children in school. There are multiple reasons and these all can not be brushed under the blanket cause of poverty. The major concern remains that each child goes to school and completes formal education till Class XII. 
 We plan to prepare the children for formal school education through innovative and recreational approach so that once they are enrolled in formal school, they are motivated and mentally prepared to stay in school. They look at school as a relevant institution in their life. The strategy is - Nip in the Bud, groom the children when young so that they continue their school journey against all odds. The parents are the major stakeholder in this journey. Our Ugta Suraj program works to mainstream out of school children, largely belonging to migrant populations. Children are enrolled in the learning and support center which is established in migrant communities so as to increase access and attendance. The curriculum consists of a mix of formal learning as well as co-curricular activities designed to stimulate learning and creativity. The curriculum also emphasizes the importance of education and teaches children and parents how to plan and save for education. At the end of one year learning, we work with government, private and charitable schools to enroll children back into formal schools. We closely monitor school performance of the children for one year after the program to ensure retention. Currently we are running 5 centers with a total of 200 children.
