The Oranje FC started off in 2017 with the plan to give young boys and girls a chance to fulfil their footballing dream without compromising on education, nutrition or sleep. It is one of the most stable grassroots initiatives that has touched more than 500 young players over the last 4 years and always growing. Mumbai lacks the required infrastructure and technical assistance needed by young aspiring footballers to make it professional. The Oranje FC has been at the forefront trying to bridge this gap. The Oranje FC has senior teams in four of the 5 divisions of Mumbai football and is planning to step up further up to the national level so that players in Mumbai get the opportunity in their backyard rather than being at the mercy of agents and clubs where it becomes a business and players are just a commodity. Almost 200 players have represented the club teams in recent years. The Club has been providing support to the players from weaker socio-economic backgrounds regarding education, health, employment etc. and trying to keep them away from bad influences and habits. We have a social responsibility program taking care of such player needs and we need help to reach out to more such players and give them hope of making it to the grand stage. It's our turn to give back to society and the team behind is working relentlessly in achieving these goals. We have players who have represented the state team, been selected for the national camp in such a short time and are well supported by our management, coaches, psychologist and helpers.
