“They insert a candle in the vagina, fingers are inserted (in the vagina) and tortured, and if children don’t relent even then, they put chilli powder so that children will say “yes” because of the burning of the skin… There are teeth marks on their bodies, and their vaginal parts are burnt. Dhule and Gadchiroli districts of Maharashtra are having many tribal communities. These tribal communities are away from the mainstream. They are located in the interior areas where there are no schools or healthcare facilities. There are elementary schools in some places however since the children have to travel to distant places for their secondary schools, they drop out of school. These children are always deprived in terms of opportunities to develop themselves holistically. This is the root cause of unemployment, addiction, and other issues. The families from the tribal districts migrate for 3-4 months every year in search of employment. They take their children with them and in a few cases, they keep them with older people in their families. In both cases, children suffer. Child marriages and child labours are prevalent in the tribal district. 
 We have a child development program that provides holistic development opportunities to the children of rag pickers and tribal children who are in crisis. Presently 300 children are registered in the program however the need is huge and more children are waiting to get registered in the program. If we continue to work with these children, a generation would be transformed. Children will attend their schools regularly, they will receive special coaching for difficult subjects, and get music classes, sports coaching, and service opportunities. They will also learn vocational skills and find respectable jobs. We want to break a cycle of poverty, the cycle of rag picking, and the cycle of lack of opportunity through our program. Our holistic child development program is based on the four outcomes. Physical Development, Cognitive Development, Socio-Economic Development, and Moral Development. We trust that children can not only transform when they get development opportunities but also can become change agents for their upcoming generations. 
 1.      300 children will complete their primary, and secondary education followed by their graduation2.      300 children will receive vocational skill training 3.      These children will become computer literate 4.      Complementary interventions will be planned for their parents so that they will have sustainable income-generation opportunities. 5.      Child Labour and Child Marriages will be prevented. 6.      Child Protection will ensured. 7.      A generation will be transformed and the same children will serve as catalysts for their own communities.
