Youth4Jobs was set up 8 years back with a vision to help youth with disabilities have equal access to education and employment opportunities. We chose to work in disability as studies show most disabled are poor. While NGOs worked in the rehabilitation space, many did not understand markets. Hence the disabled remained unemployed and frustrated even after trainings. The Founder, Meera Shenoy, with good knowledge of skilling and markets, saw this as an opportunity to impact a more vulnerable space, youth with disabilities, as pioneers.
