Cancer is a leading cause of death among children and adolescents around the world. Every year over 75000 children in India get diagnosed with cancer, of which a large percentage come from small towns and villages. Early detection, diagnosis, and access to quality treatment remain a challenge. Cancer treatment is expensive, especially if the treatment is extended over a long period.
November, marks the celebration of Children's Day across the country & worldwide, affirming the rights and a better future for every child. There is a need to prioritise access to quality healthcare and cancer treatment for children in India.
Led by Poonam Bagai, herself a cancer survivor, CanKids works in partnership with 125 cancer centers across 54 cities in 22 states to ensure that quality treatment is available to children with cancer.
This Children’s Day, light a lamp of hope for a child with cancer and help us make a difference. An amount of INR 1000/USD 12 brings one child with cancer closer to victory by providing essential medicines, nutrition, and counseling.
Every contribution counts, please donate now and join us to support CanKids in its mission.
